Solid Private Course
I got out to play the Huguenot course, and it did not disappoint. It's a bit easier than the Buckingham in my opinion and it's a really fun design. The course conditions are pretty good, the fairways are lush, rough is somewhat thick, and the bunkers are nice and fluffy. The greens run at around an 8 on the stimpmeter and hold shots really well, so you can be aggressive when you have a short iron or wedge.
The layout on the Huguenot is really enjoyable. Water comes into play on a handful of the holes, and there is an interesting mix of par four's ranging from 315-450 yards. So, there are plenty of opportunities to pick up birdies, but also plenty of opportunities to give up a few shots. The most notable hole is probably the par five, 3rd which snakes around a large lake. The green is shallow and requires a carry over the lake.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the course to anyone who gets the chance to play. It is not 5-star quality, but it is a pretty solid track.
