A nice drive in the country and a relaxing day on the course. A great value and worth the trip
Course has fallen completely into disrepair
I used to play here once a week back when it was Fox Creek. Haven't been there in about a year due to moving, and what a difference a year makes.
The entire course is full of clover and ankle high grass in some fairways. Hit your ball in the fairway and you may lose it due to the length. Looks like the new owners moved their fancy new log cabin trailer onto the course as well, such an eyesore.
Really, just too many complaints to be made about this course. It's really disappointing because it has a lot of potential and used to be very decent.
Faith Bridge Ranch
Course is not playing to its full potential. Needs a manager. Very neglected. Growth around the ponds is not being maintained, other than someone burning the brush, which will lead to more weeds this summer. Greens are pretty horrible. Tee boxes need attention. If there was a "Bar Rescue" for golf courses, this one would be a candidate.
Would not pay full rate
I would only play the course again if I were to get a great deal on golf now.
It looked like they haven't mowed the course in months. Weeds and clover everywhere. Greens were in okay shape considering everything else was in poor shape. It wasn't crowded so pace of play was excellent, but it's obvious why it wasn't crowded. Terrible shape. They will not be open for long if they continue to overcharge with their prices. For $40 their are plenty of other courses to play in the area that are in wwwaaaayyyy better shape. It's too bade because I used to love the course when it was Fox Creek.
Good rate, course needs work.
People here are nice, nice getaway from the city. Pace of play is good. Grounds need quite a bit of work. Hard pan, clovers, ants everywhere. Some greens have big dirt patches. It's hard to beat the price but you get what you pay for. I would come back but would appreciate better conditions.
Good beginner course
Fairway quality grass is non existent, greens are decent though, great course for beginners like myself, wouldn't pay full price but it is a nice course to relax out in the country and practice your game.
Great day in the neighborhood!
Greens were fast and true. Unfortunately with out rain the fairways burn up but they always come back. Course is clean and well kept. Nice carts with electric and gas to choose from. Fairways are wide and the rough is kept so it is hard to lose a ball. Fun course!
average course, good value
Booked with discounted website and was good value. Would recommend to friends and family. Average course and amenities. Open fairways and descent greens.
High value, low quality
Course is in rough shape, fairways dried up and in need of a mow. Greens slow and weedy. But for the cost, this is not a bad value. I would not pay full published fees for this course.
Not bad, but not great
This was my first golf outing, however from looking at other courses I could tell the course wasn't spectacular. Staff as friendly course was not wonderfully maintained but good enough to play a game. I can imagine more experienced golfers probably wouldn't come here much.
nice place to play golf
so peacefull place to golf.
there are not many golfer was there when i get there.
quiet and peacefull place to play golf
Best Kept Secret in NW Houston
A Bargain in the world of golf. Course is set in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of Houston. Staff very friendly and helpful. Come prepared to relax and enjoy the day.
A round with family
A very challenging course, great greens but the fairways are a little dry. Otherwise a good golf course.
Great Staff
Very pleased with staff, and course. A great course to play at your pace.
Dust and Tumble weeds
A friend and I drove out there from Sugarland. We knew we were in trouble when my buddy asks, "how is the course playing today". The gentleman behind the counter says "Well we put a lot of work into it..." First green was like a trampoline the second wasn't much better. Finding your ball on the fairway was just as bad. The grass was burnt to dust the lakes were empty, and there was not a water cooler in sight.
Nice course, great value
Greens were decent and the course could use some water but the value is incredible. Beautiful terrain, big trees and rolling hills. Fresh air and no sounds of traffic, planes or sirens. You really feel like you're out in the country. I will continue to play here until it gets discovered.
Good value, good for beginners
Greens were in good condition, if a little fast. Fairways were nice and mostly pretty wide. Very few people there at 5:00 on a Monday. If I was coming from Houston, it would be a haul. But I was SB on 45 and cutting over to Rosenberg, so it was very convenient. Nice staff, very laid back. Clubhouse has a heavy Christian theme. Nice relaxing round of golf. Beginners would feel comfortable here. Great folders will not be challenged. I'm moderate, so I enjoyed myself.
Good for beginners
Course not great quality but enjoyed playing. Would suggest this course for a group of friends who are all beginners. Good atmosphere.
I really wanted to like it, but...
This course has a lot of potential, but a lot of problems. The layout is great, but the fairways are horrible. It almost feels like you are playing in a pasture. If you are a beginner, you may not notice or care. But for mid to low handicappers, it's very frustrating to have to hit off of dirt or a mound of clover. It's one thing to play a course in poor condition, but add the drive, 97 degree weather, no ball washers, no water coolers on the course, and no beverage carts, I wouldn't play it again if it was free. It has it's charms, but we don't pay and take the time to play because it's charming, we play because it's challenging and fun. This was neither.
