The driveable 16th on Rock is the only par-4 I've scored a 2 on but it's easy to score 6 here too. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 07/21/2017

This granite gateway to Boulder #3 is one of several nice touches that add a lot of character to this course. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 07/21/2017

It's a tree - in a sand trap! And it helps separate the Rock course green from the Boulder course green. Photo submitted by pitsbrgher on 05/06/2013
Was the most fun and unique course we've ever played and we've played golf in 42 states!
We absolutely adored this course. The only downside was they had punched the greens 2 weeks prior.
Interesting layout.
Many blind greens. Interesting. Fun. Nicely laid out. Didn't spend much time looking for lost balls. 3 memorable holes. No complaints; and I often have them.
Great Course with a wide variety of holes
Course was in great shape. The staff was super nice and very flexible as one of our players arrived late. Service in the grill was excellent with good food. Really enjoyed the wide variety of hole designs and length. Par 3's ranged from island green to a long down hill beauty to a heart shaped green. Bunkers were well groomed (except for the occasional deer track). Par 5's ranged from solid three shot approaches to a risk/reward reachable birdie chance. Really great value for the money!
Nice round
Rock Harbor - Rock Course - is a well maintained facility, playable and challenging at the same time. Green are large and generally in good shape. There are some funky holes and characteristics - like the cinder "waste areas" on holes 12 and14 and some dramatic elevation changes, particularly on the back nine. One thing to consider is that the yardage markers are scarce and sometime non-existent on more than a few holes. Bring your GPS device and you will have a great time.
Course is in great shape! Very lovely in appearance.
Really enjoyed playing this course again after 6 years. They have accomplished a lot during these 6 years; many improvements and additional holes. A very pleasant experience overall.
Rock Harbor is a Great Course/Great Condition
This is my second time playing the course and both times were great. Course personnel, as well as the golfers, were wonderful and held pleasant conversation with them. Can't wait to play there again. :-)
Great layout but needs more or better directions around course.
Condition of entire (Rock) course is super. Needs better direction markers, more distance markers and more ball washers. However if you want great greens, fairways and tee boxes this is the course to play.
great layout, very challenging
This is a very interesting course to play, lot of blind landing areas. Large undulating greens. Two great par 3's #7 with its island green and #17 a 200 yard down hill hole to a heart shaped green. Never quit sure which club to use on this hole. I will definitely play this course again when I am back in the area.
Very nice and interestiing course.
Nice course, only complaint little hard to find way around course could be marked better.
great course
beautiful course! great deal for only 35 dollars for a tee time. we loved it
Pleasant Surprise
Great day of golf. Course in great shape. Beautiful mountain views. Holes are challenging but fair. We will return.
High entertainment value, very unique and unusual.
Rock Harbor is one of the most interesting and unusual courses I have ever played. I would suggest the Rock course for now since the Boulder course is still under construction and only has about 11 holes open at this writing.
Quite hilly and some of approach shots are to an uphill green which I don't typically like, but there are only a few of these and it is balanced with downhill shots as well.
With its extravagant rock formations and mixture of uphill, downhill, twists and turns, it's one of the most entertaining courses I have ever played. Also take time to look around. Beautiful views of surrounding countryside. As a 3 hcap, the blue tees provided for a good challenge, although some tees required about a 230 yd carry to clear water. If you can't carry it 240, I'd go with the white tees. Forget the black tees, they're ridiculously long.
Greens in great shape
Course was not crowded. Well taken care of. Need to drive the ball on fairways or good luck scrambling.
Holes are challenging but fair.
Enjoyable day. Pace of Olay great. Course in great condition.
Course was clean and
Each hole is easy to confuse chatgi difficult to find out how is not easy to carry around
Layout is bizarre. Confusing signs on course.
The tees, fairways and greens were in EXCELLENT condition.
The layout was difficult to understand. Trees blocking shots to the green from the fairways. Split fairways and greens with multiple flags. Not sure what why.
Two courses, ROCK and BOULDER. Permanent signs read, "Rock Harbor 2". The "ROCK Hole 2" type signs are temporary and finding the next hole was difficult at times.
The course apparently lost it's ABC license for the course, so no beer when you play.
A good public course, but many better courses in the area that I would prefer to play for equal or less money. Worth trying once, but not worth regular play.
Course is very scenic
It's a very scenic course but that being said the majority of your shots to the green are blind. If there is a fault with this course I would say this is it. Other than that zero complaints. Great play for the money!!
This is a wide open course for the most part with greens being quick and true.
This is a great course with fast greens and challenging holes. Pace of play was average and risk reward was always available if you could shape your shots. Definitely want to play this course again before summer is over.
Excellant shappe, great views, but slow play.
Overall I really liked this whole setup and am glad the people I played with had played this course before. With 2 courses mixed together it was hard to find the next tee many times. The front 9 is a great golf challenge but the back almost makes you feel there should be a windmill on the green to put through or a long tunnel to hit through. Maybe it was that we caught the group ahead of us on hole 8 and had to wait on every shot the rest of the way. The group ahead was a 4 some and we were only a 3 some but on most holes the 2 some behind us was standing on the tee with us while we waited to play. Several holes the third group was approaching the tee as we pulled away. A ranger would have been a benefit to keep things moving.
