Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Play here while you can
This is a well-run course staffed by friendly and helpful people. It is one of the premier public courses in New Jersey, but whether it will withstand development is a concern for fans of the course, Hopefully, it will remain 27 holes for some time, or at least be able to offer 18 reconfigured holes.
Lots of options for playing.
There’s three separate 9 holes Ridge/Pines/Links. I played Ridge/Pines and it was great. No waiting at all. We finished in 3:45 (which for a public course, I’ve never had happen before) for early in the season everything was in GREAT shape. No temporary holes or tee boxes. I definitely recommend and will be booking again soon. Driving range and chip and putt area are good enough.
Great to play comfortably this late in the year
Course is one of my favorites in New Jersey. It’s in great shape as always just slower greens. Can’t wait to play there again soon
Awesome track
Played Pines and Ridge, wasn't expecting course conditions to be so good this time of year, what a nice surprise! Fairways and greens were in excellent shape, staff was super friendly, and great value for the round. Will definitely be back,
Would recommend!
Played thanksgiving day and the course was in great shape for the season. We played Pine and Ridge courses. Would play again when down in the area.
A challenging layout that can be visually intimidating when you arent hitting it the best. Multiple tees to make it interesting. Pine course is a little more forgiving (given pine trees and pine needles all over).
The greens are some of the nicest at a public course I’ve played. Driving range is solid and appears to be grass tees when weather/season permitting. Practice green could be a little better IMO.
Very Happy BDay golfing day…..
I liked everything about the course, my only set back was I didn’t get to play the Ridge corse other then that it was great….
Wonderful course, definitely worth the price
This course definitely lived up to expectations. It's incredibly well taken care of and compared with other courses in the area that charge similar fees, this one is far superior. Highly recommend!
Will def be back
Eagle Ridge is a little pricier than other local options, but the price is justified. Course is in great shape and a great experience overall.
$125 for a weekend round with no water on the course and 1 beverage cart for all 27 holes. Didn't see the beverage cart one time the entire round. What a joke!
Great day!!
The course was in phenomenal shape. Staff was great as always!!
Long, not walkable.
I prefer to walk if possible but I was informed that I needed to take a riding cart. That was to only negative of the day if you can ignore Lakewood traffic that is annoying.
The course is a gem. Play it soon because developers are making offers for new homes to replace 18 of the 27 holes.
I really enjoyed it!
Good day at Eagle Ridge
It was a decent day. Part of threesome. Felt like a slow round, but ended up around 420 - not bad. Conditions were good, but the greens were not their best - having many ballmarks that people don't fix. Saw the cart girl a couple times. The prices everywhere have gone up and ER is no exception. Approaching a buck fifty is a bit steep for this course. Great flexibility with 3 nine's. Wish I had been able to play links instead of Ridge.
