Great value
In these days of 80 dollar weekend golf rates, this is a great choice. Greens were in good shape, and you can play as much as you like for just a cart fee after paying green fees. I enjoyed my round here.
Good deal
Try to offer more deals, $25 is too much for this course. The course is coming back nicely, keep up the good work. Maybe open up the back nine of the Masters.
The cour is not ready for play.
We booked a tee time and played the presidents course. The course has not recovered from the floods earlier this year and should not be open for play much less accepting green fees.
Only 8 holes available for play, really bad shape from tee to green.
There should be a note to anyone considering this course, think twice.
Unsafe condition
My friend stepped into an unmarked hole close to the driving range prior to our round. She hurt her ankle and hand when she fell and couldn't play.
Very disappointing and the hole was unsafe. I complained and the hole was covered but the damage had been done.
So much fun
We were traveling to Houston to visit family and wanted to play a round of golf. The coarse was in pretty good condition (great condition considering the flooding that took place earlier this year). Almost all the greens were back to full condition...and appropriately challenging. The Challenger is nearly complete, but because a few holes are still unplayable we finished our round on the President's. That course seems to still be recovering. Hoping to play here again the next time we travel to Houston!!!
Fun and Challenging
the layout is fun (par 66) but some of the parallel fairways are find you in others shot patterns. The greens were very slow and a few were overgrown.
The pace and value make this course worth the trip.
Horrible Course
I went into this course with an open mind but it was horrible. The course was in awful condition. The tee boxes were unlevel and the greens were pitiful. They packed way too many players on the course. One of the par 4's had 5 teams backed up on it. We ended up quitting after 13 because the pace of play was way too slow.
great for the money
course is in great shape for the money you pay to play i have played this course a few times challenger is the best course
Terrific Value
I love the Challenger and Masters courses. A fair course if you can shoot straight
Fun
The Challenger is a fun course for me to take my wife on. But the people can be slow and not let you play through. I bit price at $40+ for such a short course.
Not even worth $25
I'm not gonna beat this to death. The course is poorly maintained. Greens have many patches of volunteer grass. Tee boxes are awfully unlevel, and fairways are weak. No matter where you are your looking at a thin lie.
On a positive note, the bunkers are actually quite nice.
Great course to get into THE swing
We like THE Bear Creek facilities: not THE most glamourous but without any doubt THE most friendly facility in the area.
Solid rates
Okay rates for the course. However we had a fousome and we doing two man scramble teams and moving at a very quick pace and was bothered by the warden for moving too slow? Other than that it was a good experience
This course is very good fro the money.
I played with my son and had a very good experience. The course was wet but it was expected after heavy rains but it played very well. The roughs needed to be maintained as the weeds looked very high.
Fun course to play
This course is not too difficult but just enough to keep it interesting.
a great short and easy course
Course in good shape. A short course. Lot of par threes.
This course is in poor condition for the cost.
For what the course is charging it should be in better shape. The fairways are like the ruff only a little shorter grass with a lot of bare spots, you find yourself moving your ball to a grassy spot quite often. The only course of the three with sand traps is the Challenger, which I feel is wrong. The women's tee boxes should be addressed they are is the sorriest of conditions, they pay the same rate as men and have to tee off from unlevel and bare ground. We realize that the cuts in staffing may be required, but the course play is suffering because of slow play and people doing as they please. In closing we only play the course because it is close to home.
