Great Track, Great Value
My third time playing Redfield. Beautiful course and great value. Last three holes are a fitting challenge to finishing a good round.
Great Fall Round of Golf
Great course to play. Would have been an across the board 5 rating except have some greens that are spotty. Not a game changer by any means. Really a 4+ rating.
They were moderately fast and have plenty of challenging breaks. Played 18 in less than 4 hrs. Fairways were great, not concrete like many in the area. Well maintained. Finishing holes 17/18 will bite you if not careful. Play this course if you want a great value for your money.
NOT WORTH THE DRIVE.
Boycotting Redfield. We stopped at the turn and dude accused me of driving the cart on the 9th green 100ft from club house. Come to find out ever green there after had tire marks on it. Id fix 5 diviots every green. Ruined our game. It was a member doing it, not us. We didnt drive 45 min to tear up someone course. I was the only player adhearing to the 90 degree fairway. Pro shop needed more money at the turn cause he didnt process golf now payment correctly. We have played various courses for 10 weeks straight and are completly dissatisfied with today's experience
Diamond Find
Great course! 3:15 to play 18..... Greens were rough due to an accidental scalping issue but still as good or better than most in the area. Pro shop disclosed when we got there, very friendly and sold me on their course. Bent grass fairways so little to no roll. Hit the fairways as roughs are thick and not really forgiving. Greens held well. Will definitely play again. Heads above any public course in our area and well worth the 40 minute drive..
Great Value
We play Redfield every year when we visit the Lake of the Ozarks. Although it is not on the lake (About 20 miles north) is provides an excellent value and setup for those looking for just a relaxing day of golf. It’s almost always in great condition and is very friendly to amateur golfers.
Greens are shot
I am unsure how this place has the rating it does. I wouldn’t call the fairways bent grass. I would say it’s a fescue mix. Layout is nothing special, but I was expecting quite a bit more with the rating everyone was giving it. For bent grass I was expecting it to be cut short and to be able to take a smooth divot. If you are a sweeper of the ball you would enjoy the ball sitting up so high on the fluffy fairway. Fairways could be mowed a half inch shorter easily. They were healthy enough to nip them shorter.
Majority of the greens were awful. After playing Eldon and the greens rolling 10-11 to this was almost impossible to play.
On a whim we decided we wanted to play somewhere new! Redfield didn’t disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back!
Redfield Golf Course
This is a fun course and it is a good value for the Lake area. It can as difficult as you want depending on the tees one chooses to play.
The course condition and greens were very good.
This is a beautiful course. Only course around the lake that has bent grass fairways! Great value, great venue, even great food! Hidden gem of the lake!
