About
Wellshire Golf Course is an 18-hole, public course that was voted as one of the best public facilities in the U.S. Designed by Donald Ross, the course opened in 1926 and is located in southwest Denver. Towering trees are scattered throughout the course, adding pretty scenery as well as an interesting element to the game. The course has a yardage of 6,498 from its longest tees, playing to a par of 71. The risk-and-reward style layout of the course provides a fun golfing experience for all levels. Wellshire Golf Course features particularly challenging 12th and 14th holes. The greens and fairways are Blue Grass.

Great day of golf
Willshire is an tree lined course that Denver golf has in excellent condition. Greens are smooth and fast and soft enough to accept a good shot. Fairways are great with the exception of the very low spots in the valley on 1 and 10 that it's probably very difficult to get grass to grow on. Rough was in good shape and appropriate length. Bunkers very good shape. Hats off to the superintendent and their staff. I love the old clubhouse and the staff in the bar were fantastic.

Great place to play for a great price and very friendly staff. Played with a person named Bruce who works there and played with us in his day off. Great guy and offered tips on the holes as we played along.

Rainy day
Turned into a rainy day, but course was in beautiful shape, staff was helpful and quick. Great deal through Tee Off. Under $40 with a cart!

Decent city course
Poor or no practice facilities. Come to play and not warm up or practice.
