Spring Valley Golf Course
About
Spring Valley Golf Course is a public, 18-hole course that features a rolling, hilly terrain with stately Cottonwood trees that are over 75 years old sprinkled throughout. Designed by Ross Graves, the golf course took over three years to construct, which is understandable considering its elevation of 6400 feet and its hilly terrain. The course is 7,180 yards from its championship tees with a par of 72. Golfers will have to employ their short game for this course. Spring Valley Golf Course's signature hole is the 17th, which is a par-3 that requires a tee shot not only through trees but also over a creek that winds through the course. There is also plenty of wildlife, including rabbits, deer, and antelope, for those who enjoy animals.

Just “OK” track
Course has really suffered the past few years. Despite being early is the season the greens and fairways are pretty beat up and disease ridden. (Think patchy). It’s a shame. This place was a hidden gem just a few years ago. New ownership I think. Only worth it if you can’t find another tee time.
Fantastic round
First time time playing here. Course was in nice condition, greens were fast and lots of breaks. Very few flat putts. A little construction going on pierced the quite country setting, but it was a fun relaxing round with a few semi difficult driving holes. First nine straight forward and back nine had more trees and tighter driving areas, but fair. Will return to this low key course. Overall a fantastic course with enough challenges to keep your focus.
Slow, on a Wednesday
Took an hour to play the 1st 3 holes, no Marshall, called the clubhouse asked for a rain check at 9 due to pace of play, they said we would have to take it up with TeeOff. I like the course and it’s worth going out to Elizabeth to play, but course condition was sub-par. Multiple greens with mud spots were grass isn’t growing. Carts are way out of date and janky. This is a beautiful course but it’s definitely starting to slip. Some love is needed over there.
Too many golfers
I get it, you want to make money but if you send out flights so close together all you get is 6 hour rounds. Not fun, really need to manage better.
poor condition
The course is run down. The fairways were burned and mostly bald. t was like hitting the ball off of the parking lot. Greens were very wet and the ball left very deep bruises. There was heavy construction on the course but the facility never mentioned that. Pity because the course's back 9 is usually nice. No marshalling. The threesome ahead really slowed down play all afternoon.
Fun to play
Course is in OK shape. Greens are good but the rest of the course needs a little work. But because the price is right I’ll play it again. The staff is very friendly.
over priced
We have played Spring Valley in the past, although it has been a couple of years and we were very disappointed this time. The greens were okay, but the fairways were atrocious . Dried out barren and cracked in many places. To pay $55 for a round there was out of line. We won't be going back in the future.
Best score ever
The course is in good shape and the layout is good. Most holes are forgiving. Length is good.I had my best score ever, a 2 under par 70!
course used to be in better shape, great course but losing it
maintenance needing to be done on fairways and greens, greens are erratic, still a great golf course
Cool Golf Course
Very scenic, moderately challenging and overall well maintained. Usually a better value than most other courses on the front range too. Worth the drive! Always enjoy playing Spring Valley!
Nice Greens but Fairways Need Work
The greens and tee boxes are in great condition. The fairways are very dry and have a lot of bare spots. Extra amenities are great. The cafe is excellent (I had the wings) but the beer selection is only so-so.
Pretty good considering the heat and conditions lately
I read a few of the reviews and everybody was complaining about the condition of the course, however I felt the course was actually in pretty good shape with the exception of the second green otherwise I think it’s held up pretty well with the brutal heat of the summer.
Course is not in good condition. Many burned areas of the entire course. The fairways were dry and bare in many areas. The greens were very wet. Large dents in the greens are unavoidable.
