Fun course, nice walk
The course was a nice surprise and has more going for it than most off-the-beaten-path Texas courses. The course plays in and around a valley and has a nice variety of holes and elevation changes. Get a tee time, the course fills up sometimes.
work in progress
been playing this track for years and it is by far heading in the right direction since the past 15 years. Lots of work is being done; pond refinements, brush clearing, trees planted, plumbing updates. Greens are slick until warm weather gets the Bermuda going again. I believe this will be a top spot to play in the area in the coming months and years. Hats off to Kenny Rucker for the job he's doing.
Where are the cows?
Literally the back 40 of a local farm complete with expected olfactory experience. Absolutely no definition between fairway fringe and rough just one homogenous tangle of weeds holes dirt resembling a nuclear wasteland. What few sandtraps are devoid of sand and cavernous due to erosion. Greens adequate at best if one can eventually find ones ball in the middle of the fairway in hopes of advancing it to said green. The layout is nice obviously a past country club that due to neglect and lack of maintanance is now pure country. Staff extremely friendly. The flags boast of a top 100 golf store, which contains a few shirts some sunglasses and a few pairs of shoes. Guess top 100 standards are limbo in nature. Got a great hot deal at $13 which honestly was overpriced by about $12. Overall the course is a cow pasture in dire need of TLC and a resurrection. No plans to ever return.
Course in good shape for winter conditions.
Enjoyed round. I picked a beautiful day to play
Country. Value
Good course, played longer than the yardage, however it was very wet. Super value! Beautiful setting, country style course. It appears to be a low budget course, however greens, fairways, and tee boxes in good shape. If you are looking for a resort course this is not for you, however if you are looking for a fun course where you can have a brewski with friends and no pressure this is a perfect venue. The staff is very friendly and also very attractive.
Could be a gem
The staff is really great. They are holding on to a pretty beat up course. I actually like the club house, training facilities and tournament area off 18. You can tell this place was built for golfers of all ages and in a social manner. The course itself has a really cool layout but it is absolutely a mess. There's very little rough and no sense of fairways. The greens need to be long and thick since they are not cared for. Almost every lie is in a dirt patch (even in the fairway) and there are a lot of unplayable areas. Sad because it's in a beautiful spot that's not too difficult to get to and has a great atmosphere.
Love this course!!
I love this course! GolfNow, $10 for 18 holes and a cart, awesome! I have a tight budget of about $30/month, so for my son and I this is incredible. I have read the reviews, and I truly think some people are unrealistic. This IS a COUNTRY course, so yes, there are a lot of brown and rough spots. However, greens, in October, were amazing! Tee boxes all level, some a little tough dirt, but otherwise great. I love playing this course. I don't think there is a better value that you can find for the price!
Great value for the money
Easy to lose a ball in the fairway. Greens were great though.
fun course
The course is not real difficult as it is pretty open. The best thing is the price on golf now as you cant beat playing 18 holes for ten dollars. If you play it just to have a fun 18 holes you will have a good time. The fairways are mowed & if you hit it straight you can have a good score
Good for the money
The greens were in great shape. The rough and even the fairways are quite long and make it difficult to find your ball even after a good shot. Overall good for the price.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
When I first pulled up at the golf course something told me to leave but I decided to try it out. This course really doesn't have any fairways its just short rough and forget about finding a ball in the rough and some parts of the fairway unless you stand directly over it. the layout isn't to bad but it is almost impossible to look down the fairway and figure out where to hit the ball. I only played 3 holes and then left the course. Just a warning there are no cart paths only around the tee boxes so it gets confusing on where to drive next also make sure you ask them to make sure the sprinklers are off on the tee boxes lol if you want to try this course get a hot deal on golf now I only paid 10 dollars for cart and green fee and I still left.
Great course for the price
For the price great course , slow play, due probably rain fairway grass was not mowed and not much difference from rough
Mooooo
Country course & all that goes with it. Fairways are rough & signs of minimal budget. Broken tees litter tee boxes, potholes all around cart paths that overall are in disrepair. Lovely piece of land & layout, just needs major amounts of TLC.
This golf course has excellent greens
I enjoy it more than most of the courses that I play in the area. I have challenging holes and nice greens. The golf carts are new and give smooth rides. The staff is friendly. The golf instruction is excellent.
Good value
Good value and course is in good shape. Needs to offer more food in pro shop. On a Sunday had hot dogs but no buns and offers no other food other than snacks.
Love this course! Nice greens!
Love this course! Nice greens! I love playing this course.
Great value!
Just wanted to get the word out about this course. Best "bang for your buck" in the Waco area. For less than $14, on the weekend, was able to book a round in the afternoon. New carts, friendly staff, and greens in good shape (considering time of year). Everyone should give this course a try. It's also a great place to go if you're new to golf or just a weekender. The pace of play allows for a lot of shots if needed. Even though it's a little bit of a drive from Waco, it's worth the trip.
great course to learn on
Justt learning game myself. So this is perfect for me no pressure to hurry and play. Other golfers were friendly while playing, even when you slice onto wrong fairway. Overall i plan on playing here more.
country course worth the money.
This was my second time playing this course. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only real issue with the course is: they better defined fairways, tho they do have have yard markers every par 4/5 but sometimes i couldnt tell if i was playing the fairway, rough, or pasture. Overall it is a very good course for the price.
always a fun course!
Enjoyed it, course is always improving! Keep up the good work.
