Enjoyed the course.
Sustained winds of over 40 mph did not hinder a most enjoyable afternoon. Greens very slow and a little rough. Got lost one 2 occasions, but probably our fault.
Nice beginner course
Not a lot of trouble for a high handicapper like me. Play was too slow. It was very busy
Windy
This is the 3rd time we played this course and each time it has been windy to very windy. The course is nice and it is busy with people from the resort but all are friendly
Course layout
Tee boxes poorly marked. Fairways need attention. Most greens require some work to get them up to par!
Can do better
GolfNow needs to keep update with the course, since the course and GolfNow's GPS are not the same. For example, first hole on GPS is par 3 when it is actually Par 5. The 13th hole, the blue tee mark was misplaced and left off the the drive spot. So disappointing that it's hard to find flags for most part.
Ok golf
Course is in fairly good shape. There are some wholes where you can’t find your ball in the rough because the grass is so long. The fairways are also long. They have aerated the greens & they are very bouncey to putt on. Still all in all like going there occasionally.
Schedule and layout
The hot deal didn't go through, I had to go to the course and then it was manually scheduled. The front nine order has been changed around and therefore doesn't match golflogix or Garmin in gps for layout and distances.
Not bad for the price
Not one of the better courses in the area, but good enough to get some good golf in. Just don't expect pristine conditions. Greens were slow due to height of grass but still doable.
The people were very nice and if you are on a tight budget this is a great course to get a round in.
Middle of nowhere
Very narrow fairway and grass is not fairway quality, very slow and small green, no sand in the bunker what so ever.
DW and Mike enjoyed this course
Using 'golfnow' for the noon tee times puts us right into the busiest part of the day. Even though there was very little waiting at the tee boxes. The golf carts are a great asset for this very long course. The tee boxes are marked well. The greens are large and the putts can be made. I have played this course three times and the wind can be up to 35 mph. However, that is part of the challenge. A couple of fairways have standing water, but these are marked well . Overall I enjoyed this course.
Course is in terrible condition.
Worst greens I've ever played on. Asked if course is just open for winter, answer was yes. Evidently they don't do any maintenance to it, except cut the greens and fairways.
Awful condition
Greens are basically dirt/mud on the entire course. Back 9 basically under water even though it hasn't rained. Friendly staff but no liquor license and awful course conditions.
Good overall golf course.
played golf course several times and will continue playing. Very satisfied with golf course personnel, golf course, and golf course conditions...
under "construction"
The fairways were good shape, but the greens left a lot to be desired. Very bumpy, bare spots. The front half was very crowded but by the time we got 1/2 way thru the back, everyone was gone. There is no running water at the facility at this time. They are in the process of installing new water supply lines, so right now there are only porta-potty's and no drinks available at the clubhouse (not even bottled water). The price we got online at Golfnow was fantastic. I'm assuming that is partially because we booked almost at the last minute, and also because of the lack of services available. All in all, I would play for that prices any day, and will now know to bring my own cooler.
Rough Around the Edges
It was a very windy day which made the course more challenging as the wind swoops down into this flood plain golf course. The rough was in good shape, as grass was just long enough. Most fairway grass was a bit long. Greens were not consistent with some very nicely short, but very wet and spiked. Other greens as in the back nine were long and difficult to have true rolls. There are not too many trees to help define the fairways so the fairways run right next to each other. There were some very wet spots on the fairways that could use draining or leveling with fill dirt. The regular price is high for a course in this condition, but we got an excellent price value on Golfnow which made this course more acceptable. The conditions do make the course challenging and there is plenty of water to contend with. Some greens are high and built up and small with sloping sides which again make it very challenging. The layout is tightly constructed, but altogether the terrain, grassy surroundings, and unique water areas make the course grow on you.
