Great value, and my new favorite public course
I found this course through a referral a couple months ago. I think I have played it over 5 times by now. Usually am able to find a good deal (value) mid-week or late afternoon on the weekend. Course is really well maintained for a public course, nice big fairways and greens in good shape. Carts are comfy and have GPS, though they do buzz a bunch if you deviate off course even a little bit. Course could use more water stations but I definitely enjoy playing here often now and I drive in from Pearland.
Challenging golf course
The golf course is in very good condition, plenty of hazard and challenging. The greens are a bit slower than normal probably because of the hot weather
Good track for the money
Good layout and a good challenge. Get more grass on the tee boxes.
Nice course, good layout
Challenging course, in great condition. Food in restaurant is very good.
Sanded Greens terrible
Fairways were in excellent shape.
Greens were the worst even. Newly punched and sanded. Were uneven and impossible to put.
Recommend waiting a week till course is in better shape.
Week day
I was forewarned…greens were sanded and punched. That said, I did sink an 80 footer. Fairways were surprisingly not conducive to good roll outs. I had to move up to the red tees by the 5th hole. Layout is a problem on the 17th, 15th,, 6th and 5th with no safe ways to get around. Marshall’s are great.
Exceptional Muni
Course is in great condition, greens were fast and true. Plenty of challenging carries over water. The 2-10 foot alligators right off the green were a little intimidating. Very enjoyable round. Will be back.
Older Course with lots of Character
First time playing this mature, challenging layout . Course was in great shape , greens rolled well . Staff members were very welcoming and helpful. Will be back for another round soon.
Great Track, Great Condition, Cart GPS not good
The course is well maintained and the course offers reasonable difficulty, while still being fun to play. Play was slow after 9 holes, which turned a 3 hour round into 4 1/2. The GPS system on the cart stops on the cart path and tells you to get away from the water. We had to reset the cart probably 4 times on the last 3 holes of the El Dorado. When I called the pro shop, they are well aware that the cart GPS needs attention. Perhaps they should fix that as many people complained of the same thing. There were also 2 faucets in men's restroom, which did not work. They were also aware of this. This is a really nice facility and the course is well maintained. Just a few items kept it from a 5 star rating.
Nice Course. Long and Plenty of Water
First time playing Eldorado. Went out as a single and met a couple of nice guys who were also singles at tee box to form a threesome. The course was a lot longer than I expected and with plenty of water hazards throughout the course. The greens were in good shape and held shots really well after a little rain from the day before. The fairways were fine and starting to thicken after winter dormancy. Overall great course and I plan on returning.
Tough course
Course layout is a lot of fun. Challenging course. Conditions of the fairways and greens aren’t the best, still would recommend.
