Pin positions
Decent course … I don’t understand why they put majority of the pins on the egregious of the slopes on the greens.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
Course was in very good shape except for some of the bunkers and it was worth the money. However, the pace of play was awful, the Marshall told me I could go ahead 2 holes, which was not very helpful because I didn't know the course well enough. I ended leaving the course after 9 Holes due to slow play and being exhausted from a long week at work.
Enjoyed our round
Very friendly staff. Course in as good a condition as you could expect with the previous hot, dry summer. The restaurant at the clubhouse was very nice. The only problem we encountered was that the climate has played havoc with the paved cart paths and it made for a very bumpy ride.
Nice course
The course is challenging and very well maintained. I would recommend it to anyone and can't wait to play it again.
Slow Weekday Golf
It took us 4.5 hours to play on a Friday Morning as a twosome. There was no Marshall keeping the groups (all groups of 2) in front of us playing at an acceptable pace. The course wasn’t overly crowded, but we were still waiting 10-15 minutes on every tee box on the back 9 as we watched the groups in front of us hot 3-4 shots a piece, drag their bags across the green and throw things at each other.
Greens were pitiful.
Not sure I would play this course again, even if it was free.
Don’t bother, it’s a total waste of time.
For the money i spend it was great! fairway are in good condition and green are good too friendly staff overall fantastic experience
Dry
La Quinta isnt in near as good shape as it’s counterpart El Dorado is. Fairways had dirt and very thin lies. Greens covered with divots and scuff marks.
Challenge for average golfers.
Not an easy course. Rough near fairway was extremely difficult to play from. First time playing the course and had some difficult layouts. Challenging unless you can hit the ball accurately and long. Course was in good shape considering the harsh hot weather.
