Old School Classic

Flat layout, classic bunkering, with little water and few forced carries. Trees are the courses main defense. Not heavily wooded, but enough to penalize you if you miss the fairway by more than a little. This well regarded course has hosted the local US Open qualifying for the past 15+ years. Rated among top Colorado courses for pace of play. Great staff is always helpful.

Great course at a great price

If you are looking for a consistently good quality course you have it in Collindale. The trees make this track difficult yet reward your good shots. You will most likely play every club in your bag while you are here. The greens are not terribly difficult but they are ALWAYS in great shape, especially for being a public course.

You won't be WOWed by this course but it will challenge you again and again.

Large Trees

The course is very mature with many large trees. The greens were soft and fast. The bunkers could use more sand around the edges. A good course for a straight hitter beacuse of the large trees off the fairway.

Underappreciated gem

Collindale was, as always, in superb condition, one exception being the recent greens aeration. Even with that the holes were small and not a huge factor - but still short of a "pristine" rating. The course played longer than the yardages would indicate because of the lush fairways and some gnarly "second cut" (bluegrass) rough.
Collindale is not a hugely scenic course, but it's "old style" in that it doesn't play through a housing development either. Good course, good test of skills.

Mature course

Played fairly quickly. Ranger got annoying. He stopped us three times within an hour to ask us what our name was and what was our tee time.

Decent Price & outstanding course

Played Collindale seven rounds over 6 days (9-5-13 through 9-10-13). The staff were very professional, friendly, and accommodating. Course monitor / marshall John did a super job of moving along two very slow groups in front of our group. He handled it creatively, yet professionally. They do a great job of keeping the pace of play moving. Beautiful, well-manicured course with super, pretty quick greens. Actually, all the course was in great condition. A good course to walk, which I always do. Plenty challenging. The only picky thing I could think of is the bunkers could use a little more sand.
