About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Nov 2012.
Once labeled as "one of the greatest second shot courses in the country" by original pro Jay Hebert (captain of the 1971 Ryder Cup team), this bluebonnet-laden track is the highlight of a 2,200-acre development between Houston and College Station.
Jay Riviere designed this one, and he incorporated lakes, ponds, and creeks on 14 of 18 holes, as well as some impressive elevation changes. Rick Forester came through for a redesign in 1983 to spice up the layout. At Bluebonnet CC you'll find good birdie chances in the short 500-yard par 5s, as well as a few tough pars in the long par 4s that approach the 450-yard range.
No. 11 is the best hole, a 360-yarder with water on either side of the dogleg fairway. The approach is into a green surrounded by bunkers.
Getting there : From I-45 north, take Hwy. 105 west to FM 2445. Turn north and drive about 3.5 miles to the course. The entrance is on the left.

Nice but closing for good in 10 days
Very nice staff and nice course overall but will be closing for good in 10 days
Very relaxing round of golf
Bluebonnet is a GREAT getaway !! At first glance, the course looks moderate to easy, but after a few holes you realize that it is more of a " target " course than you imagined. Well laid out, with all of the normal challenges, and some very subtle challenges, this is a fun course for all levels of leisure golfers. Add to that the wonderful views, the absence of traffic noise, and the no-push pace - - - well, go judge for yourself !
Great Layout and Challenges
Have not played this course in many years but remember what a fun challenging course it was to play. Most holes require accuracy from tee to green and a familiarity of each hole is paramount to score well. Hope to play there again soon we had a great time.

Beautiful land this course is on.
This course has, and alway's has had a lot of potential to be a VERY good course. The greens and fairways were much improved, from a year earlier when I played it. This course is worth the drive if the price is right.
Great place to play golf!
From the first tee to the last tee, this crouse is a challenge. The towering tree on 1st tee, the hidden fairway on 2. This crouse offer you to tesr your skills. I love this crouse.

Nice layout to far and needs improvements
Went out with some friends that have never played the course since new owners had taken over. Temporary clubhouse was ok with a few concessions. Course layout was fun as always but the maintenace of the greens and sand bunkers need improvement. Long way to drive for mediocre course. Even with the golf discount a little high for distance and condition.
