Osprey Point Golf Club - Falcon/Raven Course
About
Situated on what used to be farmland and later used for shellrock mining, Osprey Point Golf Club is hardly recognizable from its former landscape. The Parks and Rec Department of Palm Beach County took the abandoned land in South County Regional Park that was completely overgrown and turned it into Florida's first Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Course. To achieve this designation, the department instituted several environmental protection practices, increased the acres of natural habitat, and converted to more environmentally friendly grass on the tees, greens, and fairways. The golf course offers 27 holes that are played in three different combinations. The Falcon/Raven Course is one of the combinations. It has a rolling landscape that is enhanced by native vegetation and a playable quality thanks to five sets of tees.

Slow play
I booked an afternoon hot deal. The course was in good almost great shape. I was really impressed with the conditions of the greens for a mini. They held well yet weren't all marked up. The guys in the pro shop were friendly and helpful, as wee the cart guys. The starters weren't as helpful almost a little gruff. Not a big deal. The real problem was pace of place. My group just barely finished before dark. The round was pushing 5 hours. Any slower and we wouldn't have finished. I expect this if I book a twilight time with the course but come on golf now if you're going to sell a time make sure it's not so late that finishing is in question. The course could really use ranger. I'm not sure ejre the hold up was.
Amazing course perfect conditions
This is one of the best courses in south Florida the condition's of the course are always immaculate and the layout of the 27 holes is brilliant....the staff is so professional and friendly and the pace of play is great.....I highly recommend playing this course it's so much fun.
Super slow pace of play
If you’re looking to play a quick round, stay away.
This course is notorious for 4.5-5 hour rounds.
Ranger today wouldn’t let us pass a group who was slow as snails old men…ranger just made excuses for their slow play.
4:45 hour round which is unacceptable.
Honestly - I won’t go back due to the pace of play.
Well worth the drive
I live in Miami Beach, so for me this was an hour+ drive. I was able to get a hot deal that made it worth giving this track a shot. Im so glad I did. I will start with my 3 minor gripes. 1) driving range was closed. Tough to get loose after an hour drive. Online showed it was open. 2) they would not entertain the option of solo riding. I was a single and sharing the cart with a stranger is always just a bit uncomfortable. That said, Walt was awesome and made it not too bad. 3) the hawk 9 has no bathrooms or water/ice.
Other than that the greens were true. They do a great job of giving this course an aesthetic of being a tight course with lots of water, while providing a playable layout with generous landing areas. There are definitely holes with propensity to be a blow up hole should you hook/slice but then there are 2 gettable par 5s and a few -300yd par 4s that if you can put it out there give you eagle looks or surely good birdie opportunities. For perspective I shot 84 with a 7 on #4 and 3 penalty strokes. If you can roll the ball, get it to the right tier on the green in regard to pin placement there are scores to be had here. I will also state the practice facilities seem to be immaculate, with the amount of rain we received I understand it being closed. Just showed up an hour and 15 mins before my tee time to warm up and found it tough to pass that time. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone. With 3 9s the worry of out of season aeration is something you don’t have to worry about as well. As Dave Portnoy would say, “ one round everyone knows the rules!” I would give osprey point (hawk and raven) a 9.1/10
DID NOT HONOR RESERVATION
The course did not honor my fully prepaid GOLFNOW reservation and told me I needed to get a refund from GOLFNOW. They told me that GOLFNOW offered tee times that the course itself does not offer.
I have been looking and looking and cannot figure out how to either contact GOLFNOW or to request a refund from the site. I am blistering mad.
Nice Track
First time visitor to this nice muni course. Three nine hole layout. Luckily I played with a local who pays here often so I had some good course knowledge shared with me. Course Is in fantastic shape. Greens rolled true. Some challenging holes and shot placing is paramount. Definitely will play again when in the area.
Great track slow play
Excellent layout very challenging but slow play ranger driving never pushed group on front of us waited on every shot other than that track is beautiful and challenging
Beautiful Muny, Great Value
Course is carved out of south Florida Everglades. Scenery is beautiful, and each hole feels secluded from the next. Course was in great shape. Will be playing again.
