Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Players Course
About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole layout that has hosted the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments as well as numerous other events since it first opened in 1928. The course is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Players, and Baer. Each course has a different character but one characteristic they all have is the undulating terrain. All three golf courses also boast well manicured tees, greens, and fairways. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Tournament/Players course features the most water of the three combinations. The par-4 fifth hole on the Tournament nine has a particularly tricky forced carry over a large pond. In addition to the golf courses, Schaumburg has a practice facility that includes a driving range and two putting greens.

Always A great Round
Love this course always in good condition. Rate is very good morning
Busy Place but great course, amenities, and ambiance
If you like a variety of holes with nice sand and fast greens this is a good place to visit! Very friendly staff too
Odd configuration
It's an ok course. Conditions are decent and it's not super difficult. But the layout of the 27 hole course is a bit odd. It's a bit confusing and many of the fairways are too close together making it a bit dangerous. Be ready to hear a lot of "FOUUUUUUUURRRRR".
Schaumburg Golf
Great/fun layout and challenging at the same time which is great. Course really tests your precision shot making ability. Only downfall for me that day was getting paired with a couple of guys that took their sweet time with their shots and we never really caught up with the pace. Felt bad for the groups behind us that had to wait on every tee box on the back 9.
One of the toughest days to play. It was very windy. We only played nine on the Baer course. The greens were really fast. I had about a 12 footer on the eighth green. I knew it was going to break right. I started the put to my left, barely touching it. The wind got a hold of it and it eventually rolled of the green about 30 yards!
Great day
Wonderful experience, the course was in great shape. Played with my wife (beginner) and were pair with a great set of guys. Course very forgiving, though some pin placements were crazy.
Great track
First round of year on the course and I could not have been happier with conditions and pace of play,
great facility overall
my hometown course, but this is not a biased review- they always do a great job at Schaumburg. Course is in great shape, greens were terrific, and practice areas are in great shape as well. As good, if not better, than just about any other public course in the chicago suburbs. And better than some of the private clubs in the area as well.
Frost Delay/Crowded
There was no notice of a frost delay on the course and we teed off an hour late as a result. Course was good but full of people. Pace of play could be an issue
