RiverWatch Golf Club

The weather was perfect, the course was in great shape, and Pete was friendly as usual! We couldn't have asked for a better day.

Our golfing foursome staying in Crossville drove an hour west to RiverWatch based on favorable reviews. Exceeded expectations really in every way. We were greeted warmly and received course tips at check-in from the nicest people in the world. Course would be picturesque any time of year, but especially so when we were there, third week of October with the changing leaves.

Greens were receptive and have character (undulations), and putted quicker than the courses I typically play, with true and smooth rolls. In most cases, players have a choice of flying it in or landing it short and running it up. As others have mentioned in reviews, the zoysia grass fairways can't be beat. All in all, a fair test of golf all around, challenging the way a golf course should be: good shots will be rewarded and a good round is possible.

At a course this nice, it's refreshing to encounter a staff so down to earth and people-oriented. We were very glad we took the drive to RiverWatch, and look forward to returning again.

Played here many times. They have made lots of improvements and continue to work on the course as a whole. The course can be tough but I always enjoy it there.

I played this course years ago but had forgotten what a nice layout it is. The greens had just be aerated and they had recently had storms but it played nice. To find views of Center Hill lake, you have to stand tall and cock your head.

Since there was zero warning from GolfNow or from the staff, just a heads up, the just aerated sometime around the first week of October. The greens are top dressed but essentially unputtable. Big sand splashes on approach shots and chipping is pretty useless. I love this course, one of my favorites. But paying full price to play 1/4th of a course isn’t worth the 90 minute drive from Nashville. It’s going to need a month or so.

I went to check the course the day before we were to play, I have never played here before and I have been invited to golf with my future son-in-law and was asked to pick a course. I met Tayler and Savannah who were awesome and full of information about the course. The customer service alone was enough to pick this course. We had a great time holes 13-15-16 were fun holes. We have put this course on our regular list.

Fun course .... Lots of challenges balances with some easier holes!

Riverwatch, like so many others courses in the area, have raised their rates. That would not be an issue if the additional cost came with a marshal to keep the pace of play going. We had a 4 some in front of us that would hit multiple balls, from the tee, fairway, wherever. 5 1/2+ hr rounds should not be the norm or accepted. You should not have to wait for the group in front of you to tee off on every hole. Great course, great people. Desperately needs a marshall.
