Nice course, good value
Course in good shape for April. Good value at $25 (golf now price). Only complaint, LOTS of geese and goose droppings.
FunCourse inGrest Shape!
Course was in remarkably good shape for all the rain that's fallen. Fairways, greens, all in good shape. Excellent value and incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Not the longest track but a definite challenge!
Really nice
Not the longest course in the world, but in great condition. Great variety of holes and shots to be played.
Somewhat challenging , need better beverage service.
A wonderful value for the money .Too bad they took the gps off of the carts. That was a great feature and I miss it.
Nice Layout but course in rough shape
The course is in a beautiful location and very scenic. But many of the fairways were not mowed, some of the greens were in rough shape, in fact on of the green on the front side had multiple cart tire burnt imprints. Also a number of the bunkers were completely destroyed, they were wet, packed sand and corroated on the side walls. The course also does not have signs that can direct you from the main road into the course entrance. Finally when I checked in the person in the pro shop said something I thought was very rude. The phrase was something like "oh your with those golf now people". The statement did not make me feel welcomed. I would consider going back, but am hesitant given current course conditions and an unwelcoming pro shop experience.
Be straight
Tough coarse if your not hitting straight that day but could fairly easy if you are playing good that day but I was disappointed in the coarse conditions, good growing conditions this year and this course was rough.
The course has a nice layout.
The course has a nice layout and is fun to play. The pace of play was excellent the day we played. Love to play this course!
Good value
The course was in excellent condition, the value was good and the pace of play excellent.
Challenging but fun course
The course is pretty much right out in front of you, but you better have something that you can measure intermediate distances with. A lot of doglegs that you aren't going to drive over the corner unless you are super accurate and long.
Fun course and plan on playing again, cause we kept getting held up with rain showers, which sort of interrupts your flow. Plus, now we will know the course a little better.
Good Value
Good value for a course that is fun to play. Not as long as other courses, but a lot of water hazards, so a good challenge for the better golfer. It was fairly easy to walk, with just a few longer trips from green to tee. I like the layout, except for the tee shot on par 5 18, which it is a blind downhill sharp dogleg with deep woods on both sides, and small landing areas that slopes to the deep woods. A lot of people lose their balls. It would almost be better to just convert it to a par 4 and get rid of the dogleg. Still will go back and play again.
A bit confused by the negative reviews
I have played Boulder 3-4 times, and never experienced poor service. So when I read the reviews about the poor service given to GolfNow members, I was a bit surprised. It might be hard for the regular golfer to understand, but working in the Pro Shop can be way more stressful than you would think it to be, and I am not questioning other reviewers experiences at all.
I will simply state the guys in the shop and at the food counter were pleasant, appreciative and made us feel welcome. We would definitely play it again.
As far as the course, it is a very challenging shorter tract. A lot of narrow landing areas, some severe penalty spots for missing the fairways and awkward lies await the errant tee shots. You don't need the big guns here, but you do need 245 and straight down the middle to score well.
My playing partners and I agree that one of the really nice parts of the course, is the greens seem very easy to read. You get more than enough challenging putts and placement on the medium sized greens makes it easier, but the putts seem to always hold their line and they look like they play. This made for some nice 8-12 foot savers and 18-24 foot birdies in the group and really helped us enjoy the experience even more.
This is a tough course to walk for older players - hilly and a lot of space between green to tee.
Staff unfriendly to Golfnow customers
Nothing bad about the course. Decent shape but no one rakes the sand traps. The staff was rude. We were there early no one on the tee and they made us wait until our "assigned" tee time. He said that "we are getting such a good deal and they aren't making any money on us so just quit your complaining and wait." Later this guy was riding around and playing the course drinking a beer. He did not have any name tag on so we didn't get his name. I'm not going back to that place.
Fivesome??
Just surprising to play infront of 2 fivesome.
Then between them at the turn and allowing us to play thru after 3 holes. Otherwise it was a nice course and a nice day to play
nice layout
It is a nice course. Pretty wide open. Would play again.
Nice condition. Bad customer service, terrible pace.
Enjoyed the course itself. Challenging greens, good condition for the course. Greens were beat up. Pace of play was worst I've ever had, probably took a little more than 5 hours to play 18 holes. At one point we had four groups on one hole. I called the clubhouse to talk about pace of play and the guy in the clubhouse hung up on me when I was talking. Would not go back to this course due to the staff and pace of play.
Pretty rough shape
All of the courses are in great shape this year but not this one. The grass was yellow/brown and the fairways were in poor shape. The greens were ok but not in great shape like they should be at this time of year.
When we made the turn there were 4 groups waiting on 10 tee. Absolutely unacceptable. As you can expect, it was slow going after that.
The clubhouse man was friendly to us until he found out that we bought our tee time online through Golfnow. After that he was very short.
We have no reason to go back to this course. There are many other to choose from in the area for the same money.
Great course for the price
This course will challenge all aspects of your game, the course is well manicured with exceptions to the ball marks that some golfers think they don't need to repair, but other than that, this course is a well laid out course to get you in trouble on every hole. This course is a Diamond in the rough, and I would recommend it to all handicaps.
What a fantastic Course!
I have liked Boulder Pointe since the day it opened. It has been sad to see it go through hard times but I believe it is on the upward way. It was a beautiful Saturday morning at 10:30 when we teed off. The course was in great shape except for the unrepaired ball marks on some the greens. We had a wonderful time, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Although the course has lots of water hazards, I believe it to be very fair. If played correctly, the water will not interfere with play. I would recommend this course to everyone except then it might be busier. Play it and I think you will believe it's fair.
