Golf
I played thie front 9 in 2 hours. I then proceeded to hole #10 and a four some was allowed to cut in front of the 2 some in front of me. 3 groups on the 10th tee At 14 a group cut in front of me. 3 groups on the same tee box waiting to tee off. I then went back to the club house and told them my story wanting a nine hole refund. They refused to give me a refund. I’ll never play Loggers Trail again.
Always great to play
Great day of golf, fun time playing with the pairing we were paired up with. Only issue was get to the 17th hole, there were 4 groups on or waiting to play. 17th is a par 3.
Fun, challenging course
Course was in nice shape considering the dry weather. People are not fixing ball marks on the greens, so found a few bumps when putting. Will be back again!
Great time
Came in from out of state and we had a great time. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the course condition was immaculate/wonderful. Tee box was best of all the courses we’ve played, fairways were beautiful and very wide n greens were mostly huge , fast n true . Everything was great until we ran into a 6 some at # 15 n got bit stalled but wasn’t too bad as we had a great time overall
Carts
Carts either need to be maintained better or replaced
Satisfied But A little Annoyed.......
Long time customer of Loggers. Have witnessed it's growth and improvements to make it a very good golf course to play.. I believe a new clubhouse is still in the plans.
Staff have always been top notch but ......... there's a couple of points to be made.
On a recent round we had (3) players and were informed at check in time a fourth had been added.
The guy was a very decent person and a good blue tee player. Our group are white tee players. Now, this isn't a Loggers only occurrence, I get why courses do this but I've never agreed with it. IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE in our games and it shouldn't be forced upon you.
The other item we then contended with was the "ranger" working the tee starts. Older guy, he's worked there a few maybe several years.
Typically the guy is an a_ _.
There has to be others in the Loggers fan club that agrees with the above.
Ownership/staff are experienced and good enough to review and maybe address.
Great layout
This course is a great layout with about 4 or 5 holes that make you feel like you are playing in the Northwoods with the remainder being more Links like.
Bad greens
Course was in terrible condition, greens were atrocious! Non repaired ball marks everywhere. The golf carts were in poor condition ! We had a staff member jump in front of us on the back nine! Very inconsiderate and unprofessional of any golf course.
Mounds View
Great concept with the mounds separating many otherwise open fairways, but this leaves many blind shots if you end up on the wrong fairway, many are very wide though. Undulating fairways with moguls and bumps and barely a flat spot to hit from on some; makes it quite challenging. Fairways and greens pretty beat up. Cart trails poorly marked and hard to follow. A little local knowledge goes a long way here.
Best in the Twin cities
This course is by far one of the best there is. With the heat some of the other courses are starting wilt away. Loggers looks as beautiful now as any other time. There isn't one bad thing I could say about my experience the course amazing and the staff amazing. I couldn't have asked for anything better while I was there.
