Hole 13.. What a view from the Tee... Photo submitted by KBarker on 09/29/2013
Awesome course
Every hole is a risk & reward hole.
Huge elevation changes, correct yardage is a must?
Bring extra balls, you will need them
Eagle Ridge does not disappoint
An absolute hidden gem. The Kentucky State Parks should be extremely proud of these state-sponsored municipals.
Eagle Ridge is challenging but playable at a high-handicapper level if you play the correct tees. I have played the second and third tees in past rounds. This round, I played from the third tees and enjoyed my round even more. Even though I lost several balls, some holes I absolutely dominated and gained confidence in my game.
Only negative was, the pro shop didn’t open until 10 minutes before my tee time, 8 a.m.
Course needs so up keep
The fairways and greens was wonderful but it had really high roof and all the course edges the cut back .All the bunkers need work and sand in them and weeds out of them. It is one of the hardest courses around my area but would like to see better upkeep
My Favorite Course in Kentucky
This is my favorite course in KY by far. This is one of the most stunning and unique courses that I have played. I can not imagine how much the cart paths alone cost to build, but I am glad they built everything. The views and wow-factor holes seems to never end. The tee shot on 13 is worth the price of admission alone.
Fun but challenging
The course is in good condition. It has 6 difficult holes, 6 of medium difficulty and 6 that you had better make par or better. There is a lot of force carries. It has uphill, downhill, and side hill lies. Very scenic and certainly a good buy on the rate. Be ready to enjoy and be frustrated at the same time. A fun day.
Beautiful views but tough course
This course is tight, greens are fast. Very nice course
Unreal
Truly one of the best experiences in a long time. Is the course well known...no. Is the course expensive to play...no. Is it a long course...not particularly. But, it’s one of the most unique, visually intimidating, well manicured, challenging, and enjoyable tracks I’ve ever played. I’m also a scratch golfer who has played in several pga sectional events along with college and amateur nationwide.
Visually Beautiful & Intimidating
My father-in-law, Chris, and I escaped the house while it was being interior decorated by my wife and mother-in-law. Chris plays Old Waverly and Mossy Oak in Mississippi, at least once a year or more and stated that Yatesville (Eagle Ridge) is one of the most stunning courses he has played. I agree.
Not only is the course visually beautiful where countless views abound, but it is intimidating visually. With the amount of elevation changes, the high-handicapper I am was shook some times (luckily my short game was better than average). My suggestion is to leave the DRIVER in car and prepare to play target golf. Even hitting the fairway might lead to trouble. It can be a daunting round which results in numerous lost golf balls.
However, at the end of the day, it is a great course and look forward to playing it another time.
Great experience
All around great experience with exceptional hospitality. 10/10 would recommend
Elevation Changes Galore
This is a challenging course no matter how many times you play it. The first time is crazy hard. The elevation changes will challenge your senses and there are some blind shots which will throw you off. Distance control is a must. There are several shots with extreme angled lies. Hole 4 is the most extreme in both blind shots and elevation changes. There is no easy shot on this hole. The course conditioning is great and it's a must play if you are in the area.
Hidden jewel
This place was amazing. I can’t believe I’ve lived 1 & 1/2 hours away and never played it. The fairways were the best I’ve seen in this area, but the greens would blow your mind. Perfect! My mind is blown. This will become my every other week course. Hats off to the staff. Probably the hardest course I’ve ever played. Y’all might want to take some extra balls with you!
Difficult course, but fun and so beautiful! We WILL be back! :)
The most challenging course we've played and yet probably the best time we've ever had. Yes, the course was crazy hard (elevation changes/tee shot from 400 feet above the green, lots of rough), but it is so beautiful playing in the mountains. As everyone mentions, definitely take lots of balls (not the expensive kind, because you WILL lose balls), but it is well worth it. You cannot beat the scenery or the peace and quiet. Just amazing. Driving the cart from hole to hole was a good time in itself. There weren't a ton of people out that day, so the pace of play was perfect for us.
All the staff was wonderful too - super friendly - they brought our cart to us and came and picked it up when we were done. They were happy to talk about the course and the area. All in all, a wonderful golf experience! (rate noted was for 2 w/cart-Hot Deal)
5 stars all around - Dee's Drive-In in Louisa on the way back to our hotel was also the perfect way to end the day :)

Had a blast
Awesome course. Amazing scenery. Pretty good shape considering spring isn’t even in full swing in this area yet
