The course was in good shape but, the lady inside is ridiculous with her rules. Only one person in the clubhouse at a time she has everything roped off where you can’t get near her. That’s fine but she will not let another person in if they have to use the restroom. We had our mask on and still only one person at a time in clubhouse. That’s a little overboard. I work in healthcare and it was extreme to me. Won’t be back.
Very beautiful course but also very challenging. Fairways are pretty tight and shot placement is key. Staff is extremely friendly. We played during the COVID 19 pandemic so the pro shop was closed. Very nice course, I would highly recommend playing if you are in the area.
* the course is pretty hilly and some of the carts don’t have enough power to make the hills. The staff said that in the near future they will be upgrading carts.
Great Condition
The fairways and greens were excellent condition! Bring your Accuracy game!
Great course!
Course is in great condition; the best in our area. The course is very challenging and requires accurate shots. With 4-5 tee boxes, play a reasonable tee as the hills, forests, and turns will lead to losing a box of balls. Honestly, plays much better after your first time. Some of the most scenic views you will find.
Old carts
For a course with hilly terrain they need carts that can pull the hills. Course is in excellent condition. Hreens are perfect
Dangerous carts
As always Tellia at the front desk is a gem. She is the best employee that the golf course has and always takes care of her golfers. The course is in great shape. However, the golf carts are unsafe. First of all you cannot walk the course so if your going to play you must have a cart. It’s just to hilly to walk. The state of Kentucky should be ashamed to put these carts out with players in them. The course opened in 2003 and that’s how old the carts are. 17 years is to much wear and tear for a golf cart on a hilly mountain course. They have never been replaced or had any upgrades. The tires are bald, brakes won’t work and the park brakes kick off when your parked on a hill. The straps on the carts won’t hold your bag so unless you hungry cord them in your bags gonna fall off and skin your clubs up. They are so worn out they won’t pull the hills and forget trying to get from 4 to 5 and 13 to 15. We have heard for years that the course was getting new carts and then we hear that we are getting hand me down carts from another state course that are used but in better shape. No carts ever show up and no one has a satisfactory answer as to why this premier course doesn’t have enough clout to even beg for a few used carts. It’s totally unacceptable. I hope soon they get some descent carts before someone gets seriously hurt.
Course in great shape, but they really need new golf carts.
Tough course. Well taken care of but definitely a higher difficulty level. Overall pretty fun place!
Manager was impossible
We started playing this course after a group said to go ahead of them!! We had gone to club house Earlier and Tela said we could not sign in yet because we were a hot deal!!!! The group said oh you can do that at the turn! They were locals so we thought okay they should know! We get a call on hole #4 to come to club house right now and sign a list!!!!! she was so rude from the minute we got there! The course is not a good course to play with the horrible carts they have on the side of a mountain! We left without finishing our round and won’t be back!!!
Round at eagle ridge
Great course!! Beautiful fairways and greens. Can’t beat the price.
Without question the hardest course I’ve played in East Kentucky . Every shot is an absolute challenge from the back tees. Everyone needs to play this course it’s quite the experience and for 29 dollars it’s a steal.
Hardest course ever
Looking for a challenge? You will find it at Eagle Ridge. The course was in great shape. Bring extra balls!
Great Experience!
This is my favorite course in this area! It is so well kept and very challenging. It is managed so well and staff is great. The course was wet in spots and cart path only, but not bad for having a couple inches of rain in the previous 2 days. Always a pleasant experience! Highly recommended!
Awesome course!
If you want a challenge come here. This course makes you hit accurate shots or you will be taking out another ball. This was my 1st time playing this course but my golfing friends and I will be back. The fairways and greens were in good to excellent shape. 5 sets of tee boxes to choose from. If you love golf and nature this is a must play course.
Truly The Best mountain course I played in my 19 years of golfing!!
