Hole 13.. What a view from the Tee... Photo submitted by KBarker on 09/29/2013
great course - i recommend it.
this course has some unusual features that i haven"t found anywhere else. it is very challenging and i always comment after play that i surely got my exercise in.
Target golf
Thoroughly enjoyed my second time on this course. First time rainy wet and miserable not the best time to play a course for the first time. This time dry and course was in good shape and dry. Had a lot of fun greens rolled well but definitely have to keep fairly straight because easily OB if to far right or left
Eagle Ridge
Eagle Ridge is a challenging, yet fun course. The surroundings are beautiful and the course is well maintained like other KY state parks courses I've played. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were greeted as we exited the car with the delivery of our cart!
Course in good shape.
Very challenging.
Most all clubs required.
I plan to play this course often!
Great views.l and wide fairways
It’s the hilliest course I’ve ever played. It was absolutely gorgeous and we felt very welcome. It might be tough for a high handicapper but the fairways are very wide. The greens had been topdressed recently but were almost back. We can’t wait to go back.
course in good condition considering the recent rains. greens in good shape for this time of year and need mowing soon.
top 10 day. will return to play again soon.
Letting the course go.
This could be a great place to play. I live close to the course. Would loved to play more but the course is not kept up like it should be. The staff is absolutely incredible. The course is beautiful and very fun with all the shots that you can play. The problem is the traps are ruined and the greens are thicker than shag carpet. If you want players you need to have greens that are playable. Worst greens in the area. Way to nice of a course to have this problem. Was going to buy the trail card but can't do that for a course that is not maintained as it should be.
Same as always. Greeted with a cart and pleasant ladies in the pro shop. Course is great for March 1st in this area. Peace and tranquility
Fairways, greens in excellent condition. Staff was very cordial. This course will challenge you with club selection and ball position anticipating the next shot. The layout and scenery are spectacular for this time of year.
On this course I got all the exercise I wanted! Lots of elevation variations.
Eagle Ridge
I have played this course several times and it is one of my favorite in KY. Not a long course but very position oriented. The fairways were in great shape and that is good because if you don't hit the fairways, you may empty your bag of golf balls. Even if you don't care for a tight course, you should give Eagle Ridge a try, if nothing more than just the experience and views.
Fantastic course
The state of Kentucky should use this course for tourism and views. The staff at this course are fantastic in their expertise of course management. I will play this course as long as it is open.
Beautiful and challenging course!
I live over an hour away and loved it so much after my first trip I decided to play it again. I will be back as soon as possible. I love the layout of the course. It's a challenge but fun to play.
Great course
One of the best kept courses in Kentucky. Plan on playing here the rest of the season. Staff is outstanding also.
Challenging!
If your looking for a course to challenge your skill, make club selection a must, and enjoy a serene setting? This course has to be on your bucket list. When at the starter, take the instruction sheet offered. It made a huge difference the second time I played there. Everyone is super nice and great to talk to, take all advice you can get. I am a 13 handicap and expect a challenge, but I played my second time with avid golfers with handicaps less than 3 and they were challenged. Make sure to have cash for the soda machines that are located at the well placed restrooms. You will need to stay hydrated because once you leave the clubhouse, you will not see it again until you finish your round. We played on a "cart-path only" day, and did a lot of walking.
Great condition! Nicest staff ever!!!
The course right now is in the best shapes in 3-4 years. Half the tee boxes were closed due to maintenance on them but the fairways and greens were flawless.. This is one of the most challenging courses you will play. Crazy elevation change (hole 13). We play this course a few times a year and i wish i lived closer so i could play every week. Don't play the course to shoot a good score, play to enjoy the challege and take in the breathtaking views. You could not ask for a more friendly staff. They are always very sweet and helpful. If you live within 2-3 hours from this course, get in your car, make a day trip and come play this course. Eagle Ridge is by far my favorite place to play golf.
Great Day
This is my third time playing the course, love it more everytime. YES it is a HARD course, but very well taken care of, beautiful scenery, and very friendly staff. Anyone saying a anything negative, probably just doesnt score well there bc of the difficulty, and is salty.
Challenging course which rewards accuracy.
This course is a beautiful setting. The volunteers and people in the pro shop are excellent. All in all this was a great golfing experience.
Fun but tough, staff was great
Staff could not have been more friendly. Carts were driven over to us to load up immediately upon arrival. Simple, but not done everywhere. They even loaded our personal coolers w ice.
As for course, the elevation changes and number of clears either to fairway or the green make this course both tough and beautiful. There's simply not many places to miss. Most of the bunkers were playable and in better shape than other KSP courses I have played. Greens were in great shape, although they ran a little slow. Only negative I can really say is the tee boxes were patchy and not up to par w rest of course. We literally saw more turkeys than people on the course, which was a nice added plus.
