Glade Springs Village - Woodhaven Course
About
Surrounded by the hills of West Virginia, the Woodhaven Course at Glade Springs Village looks out across the Glade Creek Gorge. It has a unique design with two distinct nine-hole loops, one that overlooks the gorge and tumbles across a series of swales and one that winds through a narrow valley, twisting through mature forests filled with maple, beech, hickory, and oak trees. Natural rock gardens and colorful rhododendrons add even more beauty to the course. One of the toughest holes is the par-4 eighth, which calls for a carry over a ravine. Though the playing area is wide, the hole sharply doglegs left and features a difficult second shot no matter how much you can cut off the tee.

Beautiful Course
Great golf course...fairly wide off the tee...well guarded greens make accurate approach shots paramount.
Course is in great shape and well maintained.
The staff is great and very friendly. The course is pricie to play but through golf now it made it very-reasonable in price. It is a local course for us to play but never could because of the price. We are playing it every weekend now through golf now. It is very challenging to play especially from the tips. Overall u are missing out if u dont play this course.
Thanks again!
Beautiful Golf Course
This course is hilly and has several elevation changes throughout. A difficult course to play if you are not at least an average player or better. It is not located near the other two courses ( Cobb and Stonehaven ) and has it's own small clubhouse to check in at. The signs that direct you to it are small so pay close attention as you drive along the resort road. Overall I enjoyed my round at Woodhaven and would recommend it.
A new course that was in great shape, but still needs to mature.
Played with one other golfer. We were able to play very fast. The course is very peaceful and beautiful. A couple of the holes are very tough. A great way to see wild and wonderful West Virginia.
Tough but beautiful course.
I would only recommend this course if my friend was a good golfer. This is a very challenging course. For how much rain the course received, it was in fantastic shape. I have only been playing for a couple years, and my friends who played with me, who played in college, said it was a tough course. The beauty of the course made it worth it though.
Challenging!
Very friendly staff in shop, and concession. Maintenance crew is not only skillfully at their craft but also very friendly. Another great experience at The Glades!
Great price on Golfnow.com for course!!
This is a course that is 1 hr from my home. A member/guest rate is $80. Three of us were able to play there on a holiday Sunday for $120.00 cart included!!
Superb course, superb value
We played for $19/each through GolfNow. This is a beautiful course, beautifully maintained. Very challenging...you have to think through every shot and be on target to play well here. I look forward to playing this course again and again! One of my favorites!!
This is one of the most challenging public golf courses I have ever seen let alone played.
Glade Springs resort near Beckley, WV has 3 prestine golf courses with Woodhaven being the highest rated slopewise of the three. The members even stay away due to the challenging nature of the course. It is a true test and you earn what you get. Golfnow offers the novice who wants to play such a course the opportunity without spending a kings ransom. This was a true pleasure for a "flatlander" to be able to experience holes we don't have in the Buckeye state. The personell could not be friendlier from the pro shop staff to the grounds crew, who when present always shut off their equipment in respect of play.
Spectacular!
The Resort At Glade Springs has 3 very different, very well maintained golf courses. Woodhaven, the most challenging of the 3, has something unique to offer at each hole. The course is in pristine condition and each tee entices the player to be the very best that you can be! Though you may be captivated by the sheer beauty of this layout-you had better bring your "A" game (or at the very least some extra balls!). Beware, from the tips it is very difficult, but you will want to come back again and again! It's worth the trip, but you will leave questioning your ability... and your game!
