Difficult game
The course was waterlogged and the grass was long so difficult to play. Also didn’t help that the grass was being cut whilst playing. The grass cutter stopped next to us twice waiting for us to play - very off putting!
The course was water logged and the grass was long which made for a difficult game. Not the clubs fault but the awful weather we have experienced.
However it didn’t help that whilst playing they were cutting the grass and the grass cutter stoped next to us with mower running whilst we were taking our shot! Very off putting! this happened twice on the same hole 😩
Course in great condition
This is a good little course, both for those newish to golf and those who play more and trying to lower their handicap. Not seen the course massively busy, but as there are all levels and ages sometimes play can be a bit slow. But for the price and ondition of the course we'll worth a round. Especially if you play well!
Good course but very slow
Overall this is a short, tricky course in very good condition. Very good greens and fairways for the money and punitive short but juicy rough if you miss them.
There is a good putting green and very rustic, but usable warm up net, and a well stocked bar.
Only quibbles are
1) The terrible pace of play: 2 1/2 hours for the front 9 for a Tuesday late morning/early afternoon. (1 1/2 hours for the back 9 once the backlog had disappeared)
2) The transparency of the price: you only pay for 9 holes on GolfNow (not shown until you have paid) but can pay £10 for another 9 holes once you are there.
My friend and I play here every week. It is a nice 9 hole course for 2 women to play.
The only negative is the grass in places is very long and it is difficult to locate balls at times.
Beautiful course
One of the best 9 hole courses I have played out of around 10 different courses. Fairways and greens are perfect and looked after very good. Some tricky holes but a very exciting course overall.
Good 9 hole course
Played early morning and fairways had been cut the night before so with the dew and grass cutting ball sticking and covered with wet grass ,but still a good course layout
Suffering from heat and drought
Like all courses the summer weather has taken it's toll. However some of the greens here are worse affecting than average and in places totally devoid of grass. It is, in fairness, a well played budget course.
Great staff and course condition
When playing the temperature and the weather has been hot and was hot, given this the course was dry as to be expected and the greens very good, staff amazing when getting back to club house, cold water and ice offered as soon as we walked in which didn’t needed to be offered but was and was much appreciated, the lady serving (didn’t get a name) was great service and very friendly hats off to her and make sure they get told this, will be back very soon
Slow pace ruined a nice course
Good course in general . Very short (par 5 is quite gettable in 2, all par 4s only require 2 irons to get to green).
Course condition is always nice when I play here, only problem being there's been no rain for months so the fairways were pretty much hay rather than grass. They had made sure greens were watered though so no issues on greens.
Biggest issue by a mile is that EVERY time I have played here (6+ times), a 9hole takes 2h15+! Without fail, you are always in a queue from hole 3 onwards. On this occasion, we waited 15minutes to tee off from hole 4. Its super frustrating to wait (on average 5-10mins) to tee off every single hole. You lose rhythm, get frustrated and ultimately leaves a sour taste.
They either need to space out the tee times or ensure 4 balls can't go back to back. Generally speaking by the time you get onto the 7th green you can see hole 8 and 9 and therefore understand the hold up. Pretty much every time I've played, the hold up has been because of 2 4 balls in a row
Not bad
For a little 9 hole was a nice course gives you the option to go for green in one or use 2 mid irons can make it a nice challenge for beginners or mid handicap
Little tired
The course is laid out very well , and was enjoyable to play , it was a little tired in places and could do with a few signs saying , rake the bunker ! The little clubhouse was nice and open again could do with a little help, we would play here again .

Great 9 holes
Can’t fault value for money, good course for a beginner or those who don’t drive long. Look forward to coming back later in year when roughs longer, as it could be more challenging
