When most are closed, grateful here was open.
Whilst not in the best condition, it was playable and good to have a change of scenery.....
A few mats to play off of and a few shorter holes....
When it's cold and damp, It makes the holes a little easier.
Still can not par hole 14 after about 5 attempts, tough but good hole there....
Damp in areas, ball didn't plug, greens were lumpy but had good speed, I didn't expect to hole too much from distance.
Well worth a visit just for a different location.
Staff in the pro shop, friendly as was the starter..
Some cracking short par 3s and 4s, reachable in 2 par 5s, always enjoy my rounds here... Many thanks.
An Enjoyable Round
Course in very good condition, considering the time of year and recent poor weather. Greens very good for pace and bunker sand in good condition allowing for decent chance of playing good shots out of them
Slow play
Booking for 10:14
Have left after two holes/three tee offs.
Pace of play appalling, group in front.
Good course but
Great course, however, the fairways have suffered really badly in the heat (like most courses I’m sure), the building works make a few of the hole a waste of time. It was interesting to see how the new course is being constructed but I won’t be returning until the building works are completed or near completion. Tee boxes good considering, aprons and greens still in good nick, very fast and proved quite tricky. A nice course and new sections look really good.
Very wet
The course had suffered from bad weather which made a very good course not that enjoyable, played it during the summer months and it’s brilliant, was very surprised the course was still open at the time as many local courses had shut and after playing the first couple holes I felt it should have been shut,
Lovely surprise on boxing day!
Played here as down this way for the holidays. Pro shop is great for its size (bought a new stand bag as needed one!). The course was wet, but given how much rain fell on Xmas day I doubt there was a course on the country that wasn't soaked.
Some really great holes which make fantastic use of the natural landscape to challenge the golfer. I played with my wife who is good, but not a long hitter and the course doesn't beat you into the ground with its length if you play the reds. Good length between tee box's.
It's beautiful. Some fantastic vistas. Wasn't busy (but is winter......).
Great value for money. Didn't use the clubhouse as it was closed (boxing day). Look forward to revisiting in summer!
Play here
We had a great start to the round in the pro shop. The member of staff was really friendly and also offered us the opportunity to tee off early.
The course was in great nick with the greens true and relatively quick compared to other courses I’ve played recently. Be prepared to have a long walk as there is some fairly long holes up and down hills with some walks between greens and the next tee which could be difficult in inclement weather.
The course is having some work done to cart paths ready for the winter which was great to see but these works never affected our round.
To add to this views were fantastic due to great weather and the added bonus of plenty of wildlife around.
All in all a fantastic round - shame my scoring wasn’t equal
Good challenge, with quirky holes....
A busy course in good condition, that sees a fair amount of visitors and members squeezed into the hours!
Layout is a little on top of itself in places, enjoyable to play, some great shorter holes, a true test in the form of 9/10/11, come through there in par or better and you're playing well.
The greens were great, could be amazing if the lazy people repair their pitch marks....no excuse, don't leave it for the next people...I was doing 5 a green easily, it takes 10 seconds.
Stroke index 1 is a hard old hole, especially off the whites, it may seem a short course in it 5500yards but it can't half beat you up in places, leave the driver in the bag, I use it on 7 holes maximum, as it's just too risky at times.
Well worth a play, but it won't be the fastest you've ever played, but could be one of the most hilly ones you've played!
Great day out
Played for first time with three friends. Great course with some interesting challenges.. Course was in great condition and greens consistent and challenging. Had a breakfast before in the slightly sole less clubhouse, however service was good. The staff in the pro shop, one was a great help to first time visitors and the other was totally miserable and unwelcoming. Pace of play here was extremely slow, we let a single through on first par three and he was still in front of us on18th and waiting on every hole, seemed unnecessary on a course with 7 par threes.
Fantastic course
Fantastic course, some very challenging, cleverly thought out holes. The greens and fairways are immaculate, not a weed or bold patch in sight.
Would recommend getting a buggy though as it’s very up and down and a few long walks between holes.
Enjoyable round.
Played here for the first time and was really impressed with the course. The fairways and Greens definitely some of the best around I would say. I liked the water holes and the cricket stadium is a nice backdrop. Straight into a few tricky holes. Definitely need your GPS or a map if you haven't played before as fair few dog legs/blind holes. Will definitely play here again.
Boundary Lakes
On arrival pro shop was closed due to sickness , unable to get refreshments , our partners nearly left as needed to hire a buggy , staff arrived just in time .
Enjoyed our round course in great condition , greens a little slow needed a cut , good value for money .
Great course short but tricky and demanding
Nice course
Nice course, good holes, great greens although very slow when we played 1/5/21. Decent value compared to other courses in the area. Be advised though buggies not permitted after 2pm but not well advertised. Unfortunately we were advised of this just 1 hour and 15 mins before our tee time that we couldn’t have the two buggies we’d had booked for a week, meaning one player in our 4 ball was forced to drop out through no fault of their own. Staff in the shop were more interested in who’d allowed the booking rather than apologising for the late notice. Spoke to a few members out on the course who said it was the first they’d heard of that. No problem with not being able to have one after 2pm just give people more notice so they can make alternative arrangements?
pat
good course , bit cramped , no off course amenities.
