Ian Todd
My first time here and what a pleasure it was to play the course. Aesthetically pleasing even in the depths of winter and in great condition. One’s first impression is of a club that is well run with courteous staff and very reasonable fees for visitors. Bunkers are mercifully few but the beautiful water hazards will swallow you up like a ravenous woman should you dare to flirt with them. I can’t wait to take that risk again.
Superb challenge
Great course in fantastic well kept condition. A good balance of challenge and every hole with something different to play rather than similar straight holes you can find at some other local courses. Some tight tee shots through tree lines, challenging water and green lies and a great approach shot at (I think) the 16th onto elevated green to test your strategy.
Clubhouse is good, decent selection of food and drink afterwards with outside balcony, lcoker rooms and cleaning equipment. All in all great value and one of the best in local area. Will definitely be coming back regularly
Great course
Course was in excellent condition, tight fairways and lots of hazards so a good challenge-staff super friendly
Good course, greens need serious work
Played here a few times as I really like the course and it's always quiet during the week days. Overall layout is good with plenty chances to make birdies...especially on the short par 4's and 5's. No short par 3's so they're more of a challenge. Only downsides are the course is still a bit wet and ball collects mud easily so winter rules are still in play and the greens are not great at all, very patchy, bobbly and bare in places. I've played muni courses with far better greens tbh. Nice course on a sunny day though
It’s grown up.
Was a member of Aldersey when still in school so well over 20 years ago. Then it struggled with drainage and the trees where mostly babies. Fast forward 20 years (and a massive break from golf) played great for time of year and the little trees are now massive! Only downside is greens are a little bobbly.
Good round of golf
This was the first time playing here and we really enjoyed it. Not the longest course but the narrowness of the fairways made it a challenge. Also the water traps are really well placed to catch u out. Getting boggy in some places but that's to be expected this time of year. Only payed £10 on golf now but already looking forward to going back in the summer and paying full price.
Best condition in the area
Absolutely stunning course it’s nice and flat so you’re not shattered by the end of it. Greens and fairways Al were spot on, tee boxes need a little bit of work but not enough to worry about. Nice layout and easy to figure out. Greens were quick and spot on I will be back
Fair course
The course was in very good condition, fairways were neat, green had good run.
It's a fair course if you keep it in play but stray from the tee and a big score is easily ran up. Some long ish par 3's which keep you honest but also a par 5 reachable in 2. All in all its a great course
Enjoyed play course great condition
Good mixture of holes 3/4/5!par real nice course great greens hole you have think how to would gladly play again must try course
Nice course, well kept
Busy day and showed on the course with a few waits on the tee offs but no-ones fault. Well maintained and staff polite and helpful.
Beautiful Course!
I would highly recommend this course. It's very beautiful and is well laid out, which makes it challenging but not in a stupid way. The greens were extremely difficult though, very hard in impact but maybe down to the weather recently. They are deceiving on the turns.
Really enjoyable and challenging course
Never played Aldersey Green before, and was very pleasantly surprised. Some fantastic holes, and the greens were the most consistent of any course I've played in the region.
A tricky course with some unforgiving rough and plenty of water to be considered.
Challenging course in great condition.
Thoroughly enjoyed every part of my day here, everything was top notch.
