Alfreton Golf Club

I used to be a member here in the early 2000s for about 5yrs so not played here for a good while … so my first visit back unfortunately weather wasn’t great but on arrival a nice chap came to great us and tell us a little about the course … glad he did because the course has changed a lot and for the better …. Greens were brill although a little slow but put that down to weather because I no when I was a member they were very fast lol … the course all be it short is a tester it’s very morrow so no room for era but it was fun to play and I would recommend any one to play … will visit again soon ..

The course is excellent the greens were excellent for this time of year. This golf course gives you a good feeling when you play it, it picks you up and makes you forget all your worries. EXCELLENT COURSE

I struggled with this course, tight lines and unforgiving but a good challenge. Staff are brilliant extremely helpful and very kind

Really well planned out, well maintained 10 hole undulating course with some great features. Loved playing this course even off mats due to the wet conditions recently.
Very friendly and helpful staff and the 19th hole was everything you could ask for.
Will be back many times in the future without any doubt.

fairways were good the greens let it down (aeriated greens couldn't putt)

There is no real trolley or buggy guidance, yet I found myself being heckled by I what I can only assume a member of staff telling me to push my trolley further to the right of the rough it was already sat on as I tee'd off Hole 1 , the course was clearly overbooked as a double up holed 1 - 10 and repeat course, I waited 20 minutes before leaving after 10 holes whilst 6 individuals gathered on Tee,s 1 and 11....

Nice course but prefer you to be a member , Expensive for what it is . We played recently and was given a bit of carpet to put under our ball on the fairways to stop the members moaning ! If we known this we wouldn’t of gone. Friendly staff in the bar food ok .

No staff at all there, pro shop shut, disappointed to find it was only a 9 hole, which you went round twice. Overall course wasn’t to bad for time of year, greens where good

Never been before some interesting holes good condition the welcome from the chap in the shop was great explained all we need to know and was very polite and helpful. Really enjoyed it some great views.
