Excellent course
Coures in great condition greens nice to play enjoyable round will be back
Foxton in Winter
Course in excellent condition for this time of year.
No mats required on fairways and normal greens in good condition. Always think front 9 is best nonetheless a good day golfing
Superb course
Very well laid out course with excellent facilities. Although the greens were being treated and sanded they ran true and we're still pacey. Very challenging course however, if you want a real challenge wait until it's windy!!
Excellently maintained course
Superb views, excellent greens ...only problem both times I have played is very slow 4 balls holding play up ( holiday visitors I presume).
A Great Experience
From the moment we arrived at the Pro Shop we received a very warm welcome. This was then extended to staff in the Club House for an excellent pre round lunch.
My wife and I both enjoyed the well manicured course. The greens were in superb condition. There were great views out to sea with equally some great parkland holes. A tough start with 400+ par 4s but we still managed to score well with true greens.
Thank you for a great day.

Beautiful setting
First class facilities & brilliant friendly staff.
Thank you
Fabulous views
Lovely coarse, lots of blind holes. Challenging for beginners but that said we really enjoyed the day. Will definitely be back.
One of the top courses in the area
My wife and I have played here on numerous occasions, and have always enjoyed the experience. A true golfing challenge with wonderful views.
Quality Course & venue
What a sheer delight it was at this great venue. My friend & I were staying in the area on holiday and only booked this course by accident. Following on from a 4/1/2 hour bad experience round for a 2-ball 2 days previously, this was the total opposite.Firstly when we arrived it looked very busy, but we had time to have some practice on the great practice areas. When it was our tee-time we were met by a 4-ball who let us tee-off first, which we found restored our faith. At the 2nd tee, the 4-ball in front apologised as the course was full and if they let us through we couldn't go anywhere. As we were a 2-ball on holiday, we weren't bothered as the course was a joy to play and the views were terrific! Although it was windy it was a great test of golf. My mate almost had a hole in 1 on one of the tricky par 3 holes and even though he played below his handicap & took the money it was a great day out, crowned off with one of my favourite beers in the lovely conservatory area, overlooking the 18th. We also found out that there is accommodation too, with some good deals on the website. We will certainly be back again, so thanks Alnmouth G C.
Very friendly golf club
I played alnmouth this morning 11/06/17 and firstly I would just like to comment on how friendly everyone was from members to staff they made you feel very welcome.
Course was in great condition, greens ran true if not the fastest but after all the rain we have had they were nice. Not the longest ov courses until the wind gets up but what they have done is positioned bunkers very well on the course, there's no hiding from them so either be brave and take them on or lay up.
Clubhouse is nice along with the food (all day brunch) and drink less than £7 for two pints is good value these days.
I will play this course again as I really enjoyed it as you would I'm sure.
Tc
Excellent course , well kept both fairways and greens, and well kept real ale in the club house-- great day
Great course fab views
First time playing Alnmouth and I will definately be back to play again. Lovely views on course.
Golfing
Great weather conditions and it was a pleasure to play the course. Excellent greens and fairways. The course manicuring was the best that I have seen for a long time. Little bit on the expensive side but overall a great experience.
Stunning views
We played this course last year in the mist and rain and were unable to see how lovely it is. This year it was sunny but windy. The views are stunning all the way round and the course was in perfect condition. We really enjoyed it - several challenges too which makes it interesting. We shall certainly return in the future as we really enjoyed it and love Northumberland.
Top Northumbrian course
I've been coming to this course for years now, and it just seems to get better and better. They must have spent ten of thousands of pounds on renovating the locker room and the course infrastructure and its enhanced the overall experience, so well done to all concerned.
Plus the staff are excellent and so helpful and the food is always spot on.
A perfect end to a great Holiday
We were on holiday for a week in Alnmouth and decided to have a round of golf at Foxton Hall on a beautiful Friday morn. The weather was idealic and the course was not busy, had a friendly and warm welcome from the pro in the shop. Course layout, views and conditions were superb, with some very interesting holes and I'm sure if its windy and rains it would of made the golf a lot more challenging than the conditions I enjoyed. Excellent value for money as well, Thanks for the experience.
Super course but
Super course, lots of very tough holes. Played quite long in the wind today. Only drawback was a four ball that refused to let me through. Being a single player waiting on every tee and approach shot got quite frustrating but that takes nothing away from the course, staff or amenities. Thouroghly enjoyed playing this gem of a course
