Going Down Hill
Have played here since course opened in 199, and at least once a week for last 10 years. Playing conditions this year have deteriorated badly, particularly the greens, which were punched back in May and still are bumpy and full of weeds. "Sand" traps have always been below average. With this summer's increase in rates it is one of the priciest public courses in the area and it is just not the value it once was
Very friendly layout
Wide fairways manageable greens Clear site to target. Not too long Not too short. Reachable par threes. Realistic Par fives birdie is possible. New interior In club house. Large accommodation driving range with new distance tracker. Last but not least brand new Comfortable golf carts. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Great Senior Golf League on Tuesdays Everyone welcome. Sign up now Great Guys .
Nice course layout. For the conditions of the green I felt the course was overpriced. This course should be around $46 per round. There a many more courses that have better greens. Greens were weedy.
Ridgeview Ranch Review
What was once a very good course to play on has digressed to mediocrity due to the dryness of the fairways and horrible greens! I had a picture of one of them but deleted it after I sent it to a friend to let him know don't book here until they have improved. He told me since the course has been sold, they aren't putting the $ into the condition of the course, but some sort of cameras and surveying equipment. Very disappointed in the overall condition of the course. A great track and layout. Lost my business until they clean it up!
Too much waiting!
I’m never playing here again. The course is not great and the pacing is terrible. At hole 12 we had to wait almost half an hour. We also had some waiting at every single hole after that! Also the carts are terrible.
Pace of play was so slow.
I saw 4 players group all senior playing very slow and no course management available.
This course is in fair condition
Fairway is in good shape. Course layout is very nice. Very disappointed with the green as the grass seems to be in trouble
The only negative was some of my shots! The course was in amazing shape, and offered a variety of challenges for the avid golfer. I will definitely be back!
Ridgeview Ranch is near my home, so I typically play here 8-10 times a year. Well, today was my first round in some time and I could hardly believe the conditions encountered. Fairways consisted of very tight lies due to a lack of a healthy stand of grass. There were even patches where grass did not exist. Greens had been aerated recently which is needed regularly but these had not been top dressed with enough sand. One green#5 had a small weed in nearly each punch of the green. Rough was totally neglected and could use mowing. There was a hole closed #14 and one that was shortened to a par three. When I booked it online, it sure would have been nice to know what I was getting into. Not for certain, but the course has all the appearances of a “give-up”. There are plenty of other courses in the area that are much more worthy of your support. Makes me sad to see this course gone South.
Could have been told about course repair.
I had never played this course before and I made our tee time (for Tuesday 8 am) online, having said that I called on Monday to ask about dress code and driving range. During this conversation he never mentioned that the range was closed until 11:00 on Tuesdays and he failed to mention that the greens had recently been plugged and sanded, they were pretty smooth but sandy. It would have also been nice to know that work was being done on the back nine causing two par fours to be shorten to par three’s under a 100 yards and a third hole to be closed completely.
Staff is great and layout ia fair challenge, no gimmicky holes. Conditions are not up to standard or commensurate with fee. Greens have been severely lacking, sand traps unplayable and distance markers too rare.
Greens are crap,,,Cost me 4/5 birdies...Area around the greens a in need of mowing.
Nice layout but needs some TLC.
I play here weekly. Greens were punched a few weeks ago but didn’t get enough sand. They still haven’t recovered and the punch marks are still prominent- surfaces are very bumpy. Bunkers are in very poor shape. It’s sad to see the course in decline as it seems to get a lot of play. Ownership needs to put more money into the course conditions before they get beyond the point of no return.
Course in terrible condition.
Greens punched, no sand ball just bounces like a basketball. Weed all over greens and fairways. Mud puddles in random spots on fairways. Should put money into course not clubouse.
I enjoy playing Ridgeview Ranch with my buddies once or twice weekly. The staff is great, and the course is a fair challenge for my skill level. However, the greens are in horrible shape, and have been for several weeks. Putts should not look like basketballs dribbled!
This course is not competitive
I like Ridgeview Ranch and both my play groups have decided to exclude it because the cost is higher than other public courses and it is not in as good a condition.
