Excellent moorland course
I can see there are some negative reviews on here regarding the sheep, but that's typical of moorland courses and just adds to the charm. All greens were surrounded by electric fences, so no sheep poo there, I didn't notice that much anyway and you get relief from it. Course in good condition and very playable compared to others after a lot of wet weather. Excellent layout with all holes well separated from each other, stunning views of the surrounding area. The General Manager was very welcoming and helpful

2nd visit course was excellent - rough / gauze is tough! Every hole is different with great views.
Appleby sheep course
Great greens shame about the sheep dung all over tha parish.
The coarse was fantastic best greens weve played all year

Brilliant round with my Son enjoyed the golf scenery and company would highly recommend this course
Wonderful moorland course
Have played Appleby a few times over last 30 years and it never fails to impress. It was in excellent condition with great greens. A very different type of course with some stunning holes and views of the fells. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Strongly recommend
Proper golf course.
We were originally playing another course but turned up to 4 holes closed and mats on fairways (something that wasn't on their website) which wasn't ideal so booked up at Appleby and made our way there.
Full course on summer tees and pretty dry considering the rain we'd had. Great course in great condition.
Lovely course
Lovely fast greens for the time of year you could see the bunkers being re done they keep on top of course maintenance
Appleby FARM Course
I’m not usually one to write reviews as it could bring unwanted publicity.
But paying £100 for a 3 ball to knock round a farm is ridiculous. Sheep poo all over fairways, only thing protected was the greens.
Granted they’ve been spiked and sanded.
But the price is mental. !!!

Well maintained green, kind staffs, nice layout with beautiful surroundings.
Definitely would recommend.
Must-do if you want to experience a well maintained course in a beautiful landscape.
Simply a great course in a beautiful location
From reviews already online we had high expectations and Appleby didn’t disappoint, friendly welcome to a stunning area and great layout, course conditions were great and we enjoyed every part of the course, would definitely come back.
