Very Impressed!

First time here, the course was very good and in great shape. It was blowing an absolute gale, but judging by the setting, I'm guessing this is a regular occurrence?! However, I really enjoyed the challenge, and there are some great holes, just a shame about the 8 straight par 4's on the back 9, could do with a par 5 and par 3 to mix it up a bit. Looking forward to coming back, hopefully on a less windy day.

Great course and a challenge in strong winds.

Second round at this course. It was quite windy which made for a tricky round. The course and the greens were in excellent condition, the staff very friendly and welcoming.

Ashley Wood

A beautifully kept course with excellent greens. Either a competition had just taken place or the person placing the pins had a sense of humour. A number of tough walks on the front nine especially but the contours add to the attraction of the course as does the amazing Dorset countryside. The back nine is fairly straightforward if you keep the ball straightish. Fairways are wide and although there are some trees around, it is called Ashley WOOD, it isn't too punitive if you stray left or right by a few yards. The last hole is a 200 yard par 3 but unless you are a single figure handicap, play it as a four and lay up with a seven or eight, pitch/chip on and trust your putter.

Lovely downland course

Course was in excellent condition, staff in the Pro Shop and the bar were extremely friendly and helpful, layout of the course good with a couple of holes where the walk from the green to the tee was slightly confusing. A perfect day out

Excellent course

This is the first time we played Ashley Wood. Staff at the pro shop extremely helpful, when they found out it was our first time playing the course they gave us tips for certain holes, explaining where all amenities were, pointing out where the first tee was, going through the scorecard, the chap was just first class.
The course is in excellent condition & looks stunning.
The course is quite hilly but adds to the test.
The greens considering we have just come out of winter are in really good condition.
Highly recommend this course

Enjoyed the course, variety of holes to test your game. Greens were a little tierd and worn. Finished at 16.00 but unable to get any food at the bar. Would happily play course again.
