Course in good condition, but greens not quite there

Weather was great today & the course was in good condition, but the greens were a bit uneven. The layout of this course is fantastic & I always enjoy playing here. It's just a little frustrating when you hit a good put that bobbles off line

A damp day for golf

The day had started off wet and started to clear by mid morning so took the opportunity to book a heavily discounted tee time through tee-off times.
Despite the rain the course was quite busy but by the turnaround had nobody behind me so could take my time.

Fairways were waterlogged in places but did not affect the game. The same could not be said for the greens where some were very boggy and others well drained which made it hard to read the speed of the ball.
Most tees were temporary but fortunately there were no temporary greens so overall very good value for money and one cant expect perfection at this time of the year so will look forward to returning for another game some time soon.

Good all rounder, but greens not in best of shape

For the £10 we paid (through teeofftimes) you simply won't get a better deal.
The only gripe is that quite a few of the greens were in poor condition (by the standard of the rest of the course I mean). I have heard from a member that they have had trouble all year, so guess this is continuation of that.
But that aside it didn't take away the feeling of a very enjoyable round esp as we got lucky with the weather.

Very enjoyable

This is a good course ,nicely laid out with some challenging holes but nothing silly .
Greens were good and quite quick , we played at a time when the course was not busy , which was great .
Would definitely return and play again.Freindly pro and bar staff .

Great Parkland course

Played on a Friday, we left at 9am for a 11am Tee time hoping to have a breakfast. All went well until we turned onto the A130 nothing but traffic. We arrived at 10:55 for a journey that should have took 85mins no time for breakfast. Make sure you leave with plenty of time to spare. The course was busy and you have to play the back 9 after 11am. The back 9 is golfer friendly and nice and wide and open with a few ditches and ponds not many trees. The greens on the course were slow but very receptive with the ball stopping very quickly. Play was a bit slow but it was a lovely sunny day. There's some tricky short Par 4's and a long Par 5 with some tough Par 3's. There's only a few bunkers but quite a bit of water. The Pro shop is well stocked and very welcoming. After the game we thought about having some food but the kitchen was closed it was only 3:15 bit of a poor show. Leaving to go home we had the same traffic problem it took us 2 1/2 hrs to get home.
