Great course

Short course with 6 par 3’s and two par 5’s . Winter tees on every hole made it even shorter. The greens were very good for the time of year and consistent throughout the course. It was freezing 3° but felt like -1° but with no clouds and bright sunshine made for some stunning scenery. Staff and members were very friendly, can’t wait to play again on proper tees.

Perfect Winter Golf

Another visit to Bamburgh and it never lets you down. The course is in great shape and plays fair. The greens, if a little slow, ran true and the fairways were still nice and firm with a bit of run. We played as a 4ball and with people in front and behind, we never felt rushed or held up. We enjoyed the welcome in the clubhouse, the full English breakfast was great, and the post round beers were enjoyed by us all. Definitely a favourite to play, especially in the winter, and we all look forward to returning.

The stunning Bamburgh Castle Golf Course

My third time playing this spectacular golf course. A hidden gem in Northumberland. Challenging yet fair. With stunning views of Bamburgh castle, Ross sands and Lindisfarne.
I would recommend this course to anyone planning a golf trip to Northumberland

Nice views

Lots of blind shots and unknown bounces with the course very dry. Very hilly and a hard course to walk. Buggy advised for anyone not fit. A new irrigation system was being installed when we played so one hole was not playable but we were given a free drink. A decent course but out of 4 courses we played this week this was the most expensive at £65 and not in as good condition or as enjoyable as the other 3 at £40.

Breath taking views

Bamburgh Castle Golf Course is the most beautiful course i have ever played. Most causes have a good front 9 then the back 9 is lacking Bamburgh however is absolutely beautiful for the full 18 holes.

The course feels very natural, not man made / heavily designed. Makes the most of the natural landscape, dropping greens between natural occurring features.

Initially I thought £65 was expensive fir a round but its worth every penny.

I woukd highly recommend the course and I will definitely be returning when I'm next in the area.

A little Gem

Loved the quirky layout and the challenge the very windy conditions gave us. Some great holes and best views in the country. Looking forward to playing it again now If walked it once.

Golf with a view

Played on a Tuesday morning in January and the course was basically empty. It was beautiful sunshine and a bit chilly at 6 degrees but we wore the right layers and were rewarded with a great round. The views are as advertised and spectacular from Castle to sea to Holy Island- phenomenal!
It was our first time and there are a few blind shots but we only lost one ball. Holes 8 and 14 are the most challenging par 3’s I’ve seen.
After the round the starter even came to ask how it went while we were enjoying a fantastic soup and sandwich in the club house. We will be back!

A great course

First time playing a course so close to the sea. Not overly long but the weather and bunker positions definatly give the course plenty of protection. I would definatly recommend playing here. I will be back

A strenuous walk

a lovely course with great views. Challenging blind holes (several!). Lots of 'up the hill, down the hill' walking - fine for the young and fit but a challenge otherwise
