Trees, Trees and more Trees!
It's not a bad course but the decision to have trees in the middle of multiple fairways is puzzling. I suppose it's their idea of creating a target course versus letting people simply grip n rip their drives. If you haven't played there, expect to get stuck behind some trees.
Greens are kind of slow but ran mostly true.
Pleasantly surprised by this course
Played this course for the first time and was very impressed with the course, restaurant and the pro shop staff. I told the gentleman at the pro shop that this was our first time at the course, so he grabbed a scoreboard and showed me the layout of the holes. Holes 3 & 5 share the same tee box, but you can see which tees go with each hole. Just need to pay attention. Tee box for 10 is by the driving range and practice area. This course has a lot of very mature oak trees so if you are just learning to golf or not a very straight hitter, than you might struggle at times. I too got stuck behind a couple of trees, but I love a challenge so I accepted that I need to learn to work on my accuracy or just choose a different club to change my landing area.
We will definitely come back out to play this course because of the pro shops friendly staff and the great layout of this course.
It did take 1 hour to get to this course from the middle of San Antonio, so keep that in mind when planning out your tee time.
Better Sinage
Great course and a friendly staff. On site restaurant is very good and quick.
Better sinage for each hole and direction signs on how to get from one hole to the next would be very helpful.
Beautiful trees but very challenging.
The course is laid out very nice but...the course manager needs to mark the holes (what is the hole number) better and directions from one hole to the next hole would be very helpful for those who are not familiar with the course.
Pleasanton CC: 6 some in front of us
The course was in good shape, greens rolled true. The pin locations were challenging but necessary to give a solid test of skill. We had a group of six who played in front of us which made play slow. One of our group called the clubhouse to report this and ask if that was normal or even allowed. The answer we received was disappointing. So that member of our group took matters into his own hands and fixed that situation.
Overall , great day, good conditions, great playing partners, and a good test of golf. Thank you for the efforts to make this course one i would like to play again.
Great course for the money
It's a nice course with exceptional value when booking with a hot deal tee time. Would like to see a few holes cleaned up around the green but overall one of the best courses around the san antonio tx area for under 40$ per person
Challenging Tree layout.
Great course. The trees are a challenge that makes you play more accurately.
Enjoy plying there every time
Fairways and tee boxes in good condition. Greens have a few rough spots. Not a busy course so great pace of play. Beautiful Oak Trees.
Nice course!
Nice course, friendly staff.
Onsite restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays so keep that in mind if your planning to grab a bite before your round.
The Live Oak Trees
The Course is beautiful. Live Oak Trees on this course must be hundreds of years old. They are dense and stiff. Do everything you can to stay out of the trees.
Live Oak Challenge
The course is beautiful. The big challenge to this course is the Live Oak Trees which must be hundreds of years old. The trees are beautiful but also very dense and stiff. Stay out of the trees!
