Great hospitality

Barrow Golf course is a little too open for me and therefore a little bland at times. I have to say however that I thoroughly enjoyed my day there. The upkeep of the course was very good. Little things like ball washers and waste bins on what seemed like every tee. The hospitality and friendliness was excellent. Due to Golf Now we got the round at an excellent price making it great value for money. Thank you

First timer

Cold wintry overcast day-interesting course, fair amount of undulations and generally wet course but it is January to be fair. Greens bumpy as to be expected at this time of Yr.
Unfortunately, played behind a seniors comp and delays inevitable, cold standing around on the tees.
Overall, I would come back in spring/summer as I liked the layout and I'm sure I'd love it. Special mention for the assistant pro-very pleasant and helpful when I checked in for the tee time

Fab course!

What a fabulous course. Great views over the lake district and Barrow towards the Irish sea, even on a grey overcast day its spectacular. The course was in great condition, ball never plugged once. Greens had just been hollow tined the previous day so the were a bit bumpy and slow but apart from that, no complaints. Members were very friendly and helpful. I played on my own and both 3 balls in front of me immediately waved me through so I was t held up. Round completed in under 3hrs and i enjoyed every hole. If I'm ever back up in Barrow working again, i will 100% play again! Hopefully on a dry hot summer day.

A good course for a visitor

Really enjoyable 18 holes on a damp misty day. Nice variety of holes with enough challenge to test the visitor. Friendly pro shop and great service in the clubhouse.

Barrow is challenging in wind

When the wind blows at Barrow the golf is very challenging on those holes near the top of the course. Of course there are good views. Yesterday the wind was a 3 or 4 club difference, especially into the wind. The course benefited from the recent rain.

Barrow Golf course

This course has wonderful views. Although its lack of trees would suggest that it is an easy course, missing the fairway leads to big trouble. The staff were very friendly as were the other golfers. Recommended.
