Great to be back

Great to be back after many years! Still a delightful parkland course in a beautiful setting with some challenging holes of golf. See you again!

Slow play

4.45 minutes to play a course from short tees and three temporary greens is shocking. There was obviously a decision to capitalise on other nearby courses being closed. The result to many players.
Shame because it is a nice course.

Good course, varied holes

Good course, lots of up and down. All holes varied. 12th is excellent

Only negative was to getting to the course. You drive past Beamish museum entrance. Was school holiday and very busy with big queues. But course can't help that.

Course was very good, 19th excellent

Course is in very good condition however the winter greens are very poor. Normal greens are excellent though.

Hmmmmm

Had we had known we would not have played the corse, tee up on fairways 1 hole closed 7 winter greens that were unputtable.

When these changes to the corse are made surly the club should let GolfNow no so golfers are aware

Testing course, stunning views

First time playing for many years. It is a course that tests your game and fitness with some really steep hills. But with this topography brings stunningly pretty holes.

Loved it

Due to the sever heavy rain we’d had for the two days beforehand, I wasn’t even expecting the course to be open on the day we played. When I arrived the guy in the pro shop explained the local rules, told me about the course layout and gave me a personally annotated scorecard / map before showing me the first tee. All temp greens were on and even though there were unavoidable puddles, the course was great in the winter. Beautiful in places and presenting challenges on each hole. Can’t wait to play it in the summer. First rate golf course, perfect visit from arrival. Thank you

Good course but a bit slow at Beamish

Interesting course in good condition despite recent inclement weather with quality of greens being a particular highlight for which the green keeping staff should be commended. No two holes are the same which keeps things interesting. Off course facilities including pro-shop are also very good. Couple of negative aspects: we were stood waiting on the 1st and eventually teed off roughly 5 minutes late due to a couple of groups in front of us that subsequently backed the course up the whole way round – it took us 4 hours and 15 minutes to get finished - also the trees on the 15th and 16th are starting to encroach into play – they could do with some trimming back during the winter maintenance period.
