Lovely golf course especially the holes by the lake on the back nine
Friendly pro, greens were great for March. Great layout some solid par fours out there
Great Parkland Course
Cracking golf course just outside Maidstone
It has a strange start and end to the round with 2 par 3's but that seems to make it intriguing
Nice way to ease into the round and exciting finish to the interesting course
Plenty of long par 4's and shorter par 5's and although there wasn't much trouble water wise you have to be accurate to avoid trees and bunkers
Greens were a little woolly but run pretty true and when we played the flags were put in testing positions
Clubhouse was well stocked with food and drinks at a reasonable price
Overall a cracking parkland track and one I will definitely think of going there on an away day course
Wait for the Summer
I have played Bearsted in the summer and the course is of a high standard played today with a mild frost and was a little disappointed played the entire round on temporary greens and a few holes on temporary tees and obviously the course played alot shorter. I get the reason to protect the courses in winter and prevent lasting damage but later in the round in the afternoon alot of the greens had thawed and were playable. Although through tee off times the round was discounted I feel the fact you didn't get to experience the course for the real parkland treat it is for still a fair chunk of money was a bit disappointing.
Don't be put off by this as the course has some great holes usually in quality condition just avoid if there is a chill in the air and the dreaded temporary tees and greens rear there ugly head through frost.
