Enjoyable day out
Perfect!
I started playing golf at Bellingham when it was only 9 holes anyone visiting for the first time would think it’s always been 18 holes, so good are the “new” 9 it may not be the longest course but it has 2 par 5’s that are well over 500 yards, you have to position the ball in the right areas and the 4th and 14th are terrific par 3’s. The greens were immaculate and the course well presented.
The staff were welcoming and the outside sitting area well kept overlooking the 18th green. Highly recommend to golfers of all ability.
Bellingham Bound
We booked an 11.30 tee time, and the club were kind enough to call me two days prior and offer us the choice of an earlier start time in order to avoid a foursomes competition. The course was extremely well presented, and the greens were in excellent condition. It's a gem of a golf course, and we're bound to go back again...
Quirky course with great views
Course was in great nick some lovely holes and hidden traps if it’s your first time really enjoyed it and would go back
Amazing course
What an amazing golf course , in excellent condition. We received a friendly welcome on our arrival nd afterwards for a welcome pint in the bar , course was well sign posted, so we didn’t get lost lol , would recommend a buggy as it is very hilly, but they only enhance some excellent views nd didn’t diminish the golf .
Great course
First time I’ve played here and although it was a bit wet with the rain the course held up well and greens were fantastic. Will definitely be back!
A hidden gem
Despite torrential rain on previous days, the sun shone for us and we enjoyed a fantastic round of golf at Bellingham. The club pro even took the liberty of contacting us the day before to let us know the course had been closed due to flooding, but as it was open on the day we decided to go for it...and we weren’t disappointed!
Whilst it’s not a long course, every hole is unique and challenges your club selection. The signature hole, the par 4 12th, requires a good approach into a protected green.
There are some tee boxes close to one another that might require patience on a busier day, but for us thr day was perfect and we’ll be back again.
An excellent find
A challenging course in beautiful condition. The course layout was quite inspiring and each hole had its own special obstacles to overcome. The views across the countryside were great. By the time you reach the 18th green the ups and downs have certainly worn you out so unless you are a reasonably fit person I would certainly recommend a buggy. Fortunately one our group had played this course a few times before so his knowledge about each hole was very useful. This golf club would certainly benefit from offering visitors a little guide book explaining the layout of each hole and providing some useful pointers. My group will be back to play the course in a couple of days.time.
Belta course, apart from the bunkets
Very hilly. Fat lads might need a buggy.
Course is great. Nice tee boxes, fairways and greens but no sand in bunkers, like hitting off concrete.
Great course in excellent condition with beautiful scenery
Quite hilly
Most of the holes are in great condition, fairway on the 6th a bit wet, ball plugged due to recent over night rain.
Hilly on some holes, I would recommend a buggy.
Still a good day out..
Pay attention to the 18th!!!
Fabulous course and super friendly starter. Ground was slightly heavy after a period of rain. The 18th would challenge any player. Wish I’d listened more to the starters advice.
Well worth a visit.
