Great value for money
Due to a past Capitans shotgun start pace of play was a little slow course in good condition and greens are always great
Great value course
We are spoilt for high quality courses living in Wirral, and these obviously vary in price greatly. Bidston is at the lower end of the cost spectrum, but for (typically) a couple of quid more than the local muni's (and sometimes actually lower if you find Hot Deals on TeeOffTimes) Bidston is a million times better.
The fairways were hard and ran true, the greens were in excellent condition, and there was no traffic on the course. There are better, more picturesque, courses closer by but at a far higher cost. Highly recommended if you just want a quick, decent quality round, at a low price.
Great course in great condition
Course was I excellent condition and holes interesting. Greens were excellent. Club pro was friendly and the free course guide booklet a nice touch. Used GolfNow for great value round. Already booked next visit.
Fantastic course
Fantastic course, from friendly and helpful professional on arrival, friendly members and great food in the clubhouse. The course was in immaculate condition too, the greens were brilliant. Well done Bidston Golf Club.
First time at course.
Very enjoyable course. Excellent condition for early November, particularly the green. Staff and members very friendly.
Excellent
Tried this course on a hot deal.
Course is in really good condition considering it’s been really hot and dry.
Layout leaves a little to be desired as the tees aren’t very well signposted and your playing over a couple of tees in certain places.
Would definitely recommend this course
Great course
Greens in superb condition. Not putted on better this year. Fairways suffering with heat in some parts but the heatwave keeps on. Some holes feel very cramped, especially front 9. 18th would be a great par 3 instead of a 4. The walk back to the Tee is extreme.
A real treat
I played this course a few years ago and didn’t really enjoy it so have put off playing here again, but due to the price though why not give it another go. That was a great decision I turned up early and had a really helpful and informative chat with the pro he was a real top bloke, 2 thumbs up. The corse was beautiful the greens were quick and responsive fairways well maintained and the roughs were playable, I found a couple of poor lies but that was my poor shot finding the really think stiff between trees!!!! To be honest I would go back next week and the week after and play again and again the gap won’t be as long in the future trust me
worth The £10 Tee time
Played here loads of times, holes are very close together and can be quite slow when busy, but greens always in great condition, late afternoon golf and the course is empty
Good value
Despite poor weather conditions in the last month the course was in remarkable condition. The greens were true and fast for the time of year. Areal credit to the groundsmans skills.
Great Day
Perfect weather and course in fantastic condition.
VERY GOOD
The Course is very good unfortunately my golf was not so didn't enjoy as much as I should but will play the course again.
A hidden gem
Bidston Golf course was a brilliant location for a golfing day out. Really easy to find, just don't use your sat nav, as this takes you to the centre of the course and not the club house. Find the local B&Q and it's literally across the road. The gentleman in the club shop (I presume it was the pro, but can't be sure) was an absolute top man. Very very helpful towards my nephew and I. I ended up spending a few pounds in the shop because of his attitude and helpfulness. I would highly recommend this course as it is a test of accuracy and is also wide enough to open up when the driver comes out. A great day had. Well done Bidston Golf Club.
Bidston Golf Club
Greens and fairways are to a very high standard. Would definitely recommend
Avoid communication with the pro in shop and you'll be fine
Course in great condition. Great value for money. Pro in the shop is a bit up himself and members were rude. It appears that most of them aren't comfortable with outsiders playing the course.
Good, but better courses on the wirral
Course was in good condition overall, although none of the ball cleaners seemed to work.
Fairways are extremely close to one another, very likely you'll see more than once players hitting their mis-hit balls from your fairway back onto their own. Lots of overlap of sections of the course.
Was overall enjoyable but I wouldn't play here again.
SHOULDN'T BE OPE
Please DO NOT play this course if any rain has fell!!
Hadn't rained the week leading up to me playing this course and theb rain the night before! Nothing terrential, just steady rain.
When we arrived to check in the courses pro informed me "there are two or three temporary greens". I was ok with that and out me and the rest of my 4ball set out.
Long story short, every single tee but the 7th had winter matts out! The pro mentioned NOTHING about that!
Then the pros earlier comment to me about "2/3 tenporary greens" was a complete lie.
There were actually closer to 8 temp greens in play AT LEAST!! The temps were also in poor condition, as were the actual greens that were left in play!
Never mind the actual condition of the course, from dug up teeing ground on the 2nd waterlogged greens that were impossible to putt on and drowned fairways were you were dredging mud or water!!
WORST COURSE ME AND THE LADS I WAS WITH HAVE EVER PLAYED BAR NONE!!!
I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH.....DO NOT PLAY HERE! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, ESPECIALLY IF RAIN HAS FALLEN, EVEN A LITTLE, IN THE LEAD UO TO YOUR VISIT!!
WOEFUL!!
