Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel
About
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel. Opened in 1986, the 18-hole, public course is immaculately maintained and very demanding. The course not only offers a challenging game but also beautiful panoramic views of Denver and the Rockies. It offers 7,054 yards of golf from its championship tees, playing to a par of 72. The natural landscape of the golf course features lakes and a stream, which create water hazards that come into play on many holes. The course is also well-bunkered. One the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel premises there are excellent practice facilities and a well-stocked pro shop.

Staff should be fired
Fire the unfriendly staff. Give a person a position and it went to their heads. Good course and condition but the staff acts like they are at Tiger Woods private course. It could be a great experience given the right proshop staff. Groundskeeper should be given a raise
great course, staff is stuffy
Great track although its not worth the price in my opinion. Can play a bunch of other local courses for half as much. No winter rates and the staff is a bit rude. They often treat you like they are doing you a favor by letting you overpay and play.
Be sure to wear “proper attire” !! GolfNow does not let you know of this requirement!!
Beautiful golf course, very well designed and maintained. However, we were not informed by GolfNow, in their course description, nor when we booked our tee time, that this course has a strict policy of “proper attire”! Consequently, when, due to the cold weather, my girlfriend wanted to play in designer jeans, this was “not allowed”. They offered to sell her “proper” clothes but she decided to just ride with me. So, they charged us an extra $18 for her to ride along with me while I played. I wasn’t aware of that charge until reviewing the bill later. My anger is not with the course, they are entitled to have their rules. My anger is with GolfNow who should let me know of course restrictions or rules, like proper attire, when I book a tee time! I paid for a premium membership, but feel I am not getting premium services!!
Nice layout, expect 3 putts
Fun to play tee to green but with too many buried elephants in the greens knowing the exact pin place is crucial. Well conditioned, greens could roll a bit truer. First timed played, not sure if I’ll be back too many other good tracks at this price point.
Excellent Course
First time to play this course as I was visiting the Denver area. I paid $85.00 with range balls by booking on Golf now. Which is a little more then I like to pay, but seems about average in the area. From the tee boxes, thru the greens nothing, but beautiful green grass. The course was in excellent condition. I commended to my playing partners that they are very spoiled in the Denver area. The tee boxes were better then a lot of greens I have played on back home. Will play again when back in the area.
Fast greens, great shape
Haven't played this course in 10 yrs. A lot tougher than I remember. Greens in excellent shape, very fast. Great course to play worth the $$$.
Great Course
Really fun course and in fantastic shape. Good deal through GolfNow.
Opinions for all level players
Course offers 5 sets of tee boxes to accommodate all level of players. The course was in good shape. The greens were fast and true. The pace of play was good for a Saturday. We played our round in 4:20 minutes.
For those that enjoy walking, the front nine isn't a difficult walk. The back nine becomes more of a challenge due to the distance between 10 green and 11 tee box, and several up hill tracks on other holes.
The course design has a good mix holes. Long, shorter, right - to - left, left -to- right. with several having a premium on position and not distance.
I always enjoy playing there.
Most enjoyable round even
My buddy and I had a 3:30 t-time, we were vurtually alone on the course with no one behind us. Course was in great shape and the weather was perfect. My only complaint is that I countdown not get the same deal next week.
Perfect afternoon of golf
Greens are in good shape though very firm. Conditions are excellent for this early in the season. And the pace of play was 3 1/3 hours! Awesome!
Gonna play again.
It’s still winter time and I was very impressed. Cant wait to see and play when its green. Beautiful views of the mountains, Denver and the Tech Center. I lucked out because I was by myself and no one in front or behind me. 2 hrs and 15 minutes to play 18. I just took my time and enjoyed. The staff from the pro shop to clubhouse and hotel were fantastic and friendly. I would definitely recommend this course to sll my friends. Elevated tee boxes, mid size fairways and fair greens as fsr as speed and breaks. Try this course. You wont be disappointed.
Fun course
Great shape for early March. Fun course with lots of challenges
