Blackpool Park Golf Club - Stanley Park Course

Nice to play again after 20 odd years. The layout and design is as always beaut, no one mentioned the greens were like ploughed fields and the drainage leak on the sixth. Apart from that a treat to play.

Course is playing well with the nice weather. Some greens wasn’t great but not bad for £20.

a good all round course with attractive surroundings not for the faint hearted due to it being long but excellent to play & in cracking condition

good course needs a little bit more to bring it up to scratch ie greens arent great bunkers need sorting there awful other than that enjoyed the game

First time playing golf and totally enjoyed myself.
Friendly, helpful and polite staff. Bacon barms to die for.

Good round of golf, my mate got a hole in 1 on the 5th hole and they have no boards or certificates for this. Most courses have something for an achievement like this.

no cut fairways no cut greens bunkers full of weeds and like mud looks like it hasnt been touched for ages shame as it normally is a good course and usually well kept but not at the moment

The course was a disgrace fairways unable to be cut as it was just a big, lost 6 balls between us on the fairways. Such a shame as it could be a lovely course if it had drainage. We won’t be going again!

it's a fab course in summer but doesn't cope in winter very muddy

After playing this course last month and it being in terrible condition I thought I’d give it another shot as I drive past a couple weeks ago and it had been freshly cut and looked decent!

After booking and turning up I got approached in the car park by a fellow player and told that I shouldn’t be paying to play as the fairways were 6 inch high grass! He wasn’t lying! Fairways were that high that even when you pipe one straight down the middle the ball gets sunk under long grass and you still can’t see it!

Scored pretty good somehow but will not be returning unless the course is better maintained. Layout is good just a shame about the maintenance.

Tee’d off at 1700hrs the course was still very playable and the greens were very different keeping me on my toes.
I was a little disappointed that the club house was closed when we finished at 2045hrs. But all in all a really good course and very reasonably priced.

I play this course regularly, booked through Golfnow,as it's a lovely course and we really enjoy playing here. Unfortunately on this occasion it was ruined by our early morning tee time at 6.48 am having 8 players booked at the same time. This caused slow play most of the round. It's the first time I've been disappointed playing here.

If I could give pace of play 0 stars then I would, the 4 ball in front had carts and we (a 2 ball) still kept up to them and they would not let us play through. We walked off at the 11th hole as it was a waste of time.
There was also a digger in the middle of one of the fairways and the greens were awfully kept, which for this time of year is unexpected.
