Greens
Nice layout. The greens are slow and not consistent. The greens should be rolled. The area around the cups had humps that messed up the putt.
Enjotable
Everytime I played in here, I was so happy for value of money, course conditions and staffes! some of courses have been controlled great!
Nice Place
I like this course, the guys are a little dismissive, but they are cordial. I think this is pretty standard at some golf courses though, so I don't read into it too much. They got the job done. The course was nicely maintained, it was my 2nd trip there, and there will surely be more in the future.
This course has its challenges, but an overall great time!
The water hazards are the biggest challenge to this course.
Fairways, greens, and tee boxes were in great shape for fall
First time playing this course that winds throughout neighborhood development. Very few holes with trouble but requires maneuvering around the course for several holes. Few drive-able par 4 for the long hitters
A good old, traditional design Dallas area course.
I've played Sherrill Park #1 for 25+ years. The course gets a lot of play but the staff always seem to handle it well.
The Bermuda greens are sturdy and reliable. Maybe a little slow for some tastes. Nice mix of trees, bunkers and water and some challenging holes (like #17).
Sherrill Park has 2 courses. Course #1 is the toughest. Many feel Course #2 is more interestiing but I feel the holes are a little too crowded.
Good stuff
Good deal. Hadn't played here in 15 years. Like their website says Course 1 is a little narrow in places. Next time I'll play #2 to compare. No complimentary golf balls to warm up on the range, but when you are paying this little what do you expect. Drink cart service during weekdays always nice. Definitely go back.
Awesome condition
The fairways, greens, and bunkers were in great shape!
Fun course.
Course is in good condition, open and moves quickly on weekdays. Staff is extremely friendly. Absolutely worth the weekday price.
Sherrill Park #1
Greens, fairways and bunkers in great shape.
Staff is very friendly.
Cart girl came around often.
Great value on Hot Deal.
Well maintained. Greens a little slow.
Course 1 is well maintained. The greens are well maintained also. They're just a little on the slow side. I like the layout of the course. I would like to play it again.
Bad management
The worst course for a golf now user, they bundle you with a foursome, and force you to drive with an stranger. Unfriendly environment always full, really bad experience.
This is my only bad experience at golf now, the rest of courses have been pleasant experiences
Great escape
Course is very well maintained. Greens are slow putting into the grain. Plenty of water on course and refreshment cart came by frequently.
Great value. Course was in great shape for this time of year.
I've played this course 10 years ago and don't recall it being in this great of shape. It was fine then but this was wonderful. Course 1 is challenging enough for a good golfer but not so much that it could become frustrating if one wasn't playing so well or was a beginner golfer. Excellent value for the money and pace of play in my experience was better than most.
Great layout.
I really enjoy playing this course. Great layout that requires strategy on a lot of the tee shots. Always a good pace of play too.
Only downside is the greens are not as good as some other area courses. But I believe they are going to redo the greens next year.
Probably my favorite public course in the Dallas area.
Course condition on par with private clubs!
Course was in great shape for early summer in Texas. Fairways, tee boxes and greens all in fantastic shape. I expected the pace of play for Friday afternoon after 2 pm to be 5 hours, it took our foursome 3 hours 47 minutes and that included waiting on two groups for the last 4 holes.
I highly recommend the course, it's condition and greens will not disappoint you.
First time to course and it was a fun experience.
The course was in great shape. Tees, fairways (when I was in them), and greens were some of the best I've played in a while. The water can sneak up on you and you can make a large number. Course knowledge would be a huge benefit here. Fun layout with some elevation change.
course in great shape, excellent value for 27$
greens and fairways were in awesome condition, I could tell the course had been taken good care of during the spring months. marshalls were friendly. overall, excellent experience I would recommend the course to any level of golfer who loves the game.
Sherill Park #2 is great course!
Course #2 is definitely worth whatever you pay to play here and you have no excuse not to play here since they have golfnow deals all the time. Both courses are in great shape right now. #2 fun for all level golfers. If playing from blues, only holes one needs driver is on par 5's. Would highly recommend this course.
