Not great
Only 14 holes open when 18 was advertised an some temporary greens that was very poor
Great course
Great golf course, staff is super friendly and accommodating. Great condition overall
Overall good venue
Good course, well maintained but greens could do with more watering for some hold.
Won’t be returning soon
4 holes unplayable due to waterlogged ground. Three temp greens and multiple temp tees. Was offered to play the same 14 holes angain but ans the ground was so heavy going we declined annd just played holes 1-4 angain. And all that for £45 each.
Appalling value for money
Winter golf
We played The Priory course on 5th March.
We were aware that players on The Moorland course were being asked to use fairway mats as mandatory, but this wasn't the case on The Priory. However, roughly 7 or 8 holes on The Priory course did have temporary winter tees (mats / raised platforms) and this wasn't communicated to us either when booking or when checking in.
The mats were of varying quality and, overall, weren't the best. They also shortened a number of holes quite significantly.
We felt the greens were in very good condition for the time of year, with the exception of 17, which was patchy and in poor repair.
Staff around the course and club were friendly, but beware of the cost of drinks in the bar!
Great place and great course
Played the priory course and absolutely loved it. Had a great day made even more better when my brother had an hole on one on the 17th. Will definitely be coming back
Always a pleasure to play
Lovely golf course I’ve played it many times only downside was the greens hadn’t fully recovered from maintenance.
Can imagine it’s lovely in the summer
we arrived and were sadly told we could only play up to hole 14 due to it being water logged, would of expected some form of voucher to come back and play it later in the year. You can tell the place is very well looked after, only a few temp greens with some better than others.
This is just based on this visit alone
Priory Cse
Course was in great condition given the time of year and the weather was great. Very disappointing though to have 6 holes out of commission on the day due to water logging, which simply was not evident and spoilt an otherwise great day out.
