Enjoyable links course.
Very enjoyable tough links course.
I've played here on numerous occasions in the last 30 years and to be brutally honest it's the worst condition I've ever seen it in.
Greens were very long patchy and bobbly the fairways could not be defined from the rough and the tees were also patchy.
Ohe good point was the clubhouse and staff were of a very high standard as usual.
After speaking to some members the greens had been hollow toned at some point in the last few weeks but that for me wasn't an excuse.
The bunkers also lack sand.
In short it was a very disappointing experience.
Having lived in Scotland for 16 years near St.Andrews and having played a fir number of courses your course is far superior to a lot of them. My son and I will be back to at Bridlington after we have played other courses which are new to us.
Great venue lovely people cracking course.
I played this couse 20+ years ago and the deal they were offering for a Saturday afternoon (£12) was worth the trip.
The course was dry and in very good condition after all the poor weather we've had.
The greens were in a bit bobbly but better than expected after all the rain.
The only minor gripe was some of the bunkers had a lack of sand but an abundance of stones.
We met some members on couse (who let us play through) and in the bar and they were lovely people.
I would recommend this course.
The course plays well after a very wet Spring.
I was looking for a round on a good course in good condition at a bargain price - and found just that! Picked up a deal fron Golf Now and after a very wet period, when most courses were suffering, Bridlington played really well. Even Buggies were in use, though we did not use them. I even played to my handicap.
Great friendly staff..course in good condition for time of year.. Arrived early and course wasn't busy so was aloud to get straight out..good day
Friendly is the word
Had a problem with making our t time because of major traffic problems. Staff very understanding and moved t time to next day.
When we did play it had been raining all morning but the course stood up really well. Even managed
To par the v difficult 14th.
Had a great pint of Theakstons pale ale after our game.
The Course was in good condition apart from the bunkers which need some urgent attention.Greens, fairways and tees were particularly good. Not sure why they have let the bunkers deteriorate ,perhaps there are are too many of them or they are short staffed.Notwithstanding this point we still enjoyed playing the course.
A nice day at the sea side
Picked the right day - perfect . First time played a bit confusing at first green to next tee but could have been better if we had looked at the direction markers on the back of the card. Will come again when the weather is perfect. Watch out for the water and put a health warning to those of a nervous disposition when teeing off on the 18th
Not the most technical but value for money and very enjoyable...
This course was absolutely beautiful. It was in an amazing condition and it was a really nice course to play. I got talking to the vice captain half way round because the pace of play was a little slow. He mentioned that the greens where in a awful way not too long ago. When I played the greens where really nice. I will recommend this to course everyone.
dissappointed wasnt advised were using temperary greens, 2 hour journey to this course to be told on arrival.
