Welcome surprise
Well kept course, played well but seemingly trying to squeeze too many tee times in created an extremely slow pace of nearly 5 hours for a round.
Would definitely return if a few time slots were removed and spread apart to create a more natural spacing which would remove the situation of 3 or four groups waiting on each tee!
Poor staff
The course and the value for money is the only reason I've rated you highly. The member of staff on reception this morning was extremely rude and in my opinion down right arrogant. Please sack her
Bromsgrove Golf Course
This course is as ever, a delight, with very good amenities. Unfortunately the 17th was under repair, but other than that excellent.
Perfect day for a round of golf
First time I have played 18 holes round here - excellent lay out - quite a forgiving course - to the most extent - certainly gets the heart pumping with the uphill walks - would definitely recommend the course to all - oh yes, the breakfast is excellent too
Temp greens in May !
I last played this course about 5 years ago and it has noticeably matured, the condition was good although there were 3 temp greens which would have put me off booking it if I had known. Also they have made the fifth hole a par 4, meaning there is only one par 5 (18th). I was a member of Bromsgrove when I took the game up about 15 years ago and overall would not consider it to be as good a challenge as other local courses such as Abbey, Redditch, Gaudet and Ingon Manor.
Great course
Great course, friendly staff, good value for money.
Feedback on playing at Bromsgrove golf course
This is the first time I have played at this golf course, considering we are still in the month of March the course was in good condition, there was only one temperory green, at this time of the year like at most golf courses I have played on there is a lot of work being done on all the greens so putting at the moment is more difficult than usual, considering the amount of rain we have had the course was in good condition and the drainage was excellent. The money we paid for todays round was excellent value, the course in my mind should take into consideration the work that has to be done during this time of the year and should not charge people the full amount, this reflected on todays game as we hardly seen anybody else playing. I would recommend this course to friends but to look out for good deals like other golf courses do where we play. Steve George.
Weekend golf
Took a golf pal who was playing the course for the first time.
Not the best of weather. Good Fairways, greens a bit spongy.
Always lovely
It was cold but bright.Welcoming starter on hole 1 Course was as lovely as ever shame about golf being played . Even the temporary greens were well maintained and not to many bumps . There was a hold up with a mixed 4 infront but eventually they let us through We saw one of the ladies later who apologised for holding us up and was so pleasant (pity all people at golf courses aren't as nice) and told us they were playing a match. All in all a satisfactory day (apart from our golf )
Cold day, and Slow play
Bitterly cold wind, course was as expected, all the leaves none were removed. I lost three balls on the edge of the fairway. The the started put us behind a young girl by herself (mother caddying)and a four ball who were not letting anyone through. So what should have been a 3+ round became 4+. A lot of money for the game..Then to top it off the 17 green was on a temporary green. 100 yard shot in to small muddy green. Leave this one now for the winter...
To many leaves
A nice course ive played before however far to many leaves on course to be enjoyable causing a long round and queeing up on the course, some good challenging par 4s the last 3 holes make for an enjoyable finish, nice friendly 19th.
Temp green till next summer
Nice course but the16th hole is having maintenance on the green till next summer so temp all winter
Well kept course
Fine weather probably affected my feelings about the course, but we had a great day out. Good early autumn weather kept the course dry, but there were some slightly boggy areas and one green was out of commission due to drainage work for a waterlogged green. The sand in the bunkers was wet and heavy, making these a challenge. The rest of the greens were soft, but fairly quick and the inevitable winter bobbliness (I think that's a word) wasn't severe. The lovely clubhouse was a nice place to chill out after the round and the beer was well kept.
