Nice course & friendly members but, slow play let it down.
Enjoyed my round, just the pace of play was very slow. Members I met were very friendly and helpful. They said it was not normally slow going but, there was a golf society playing which had slowed everything down.
Not a 5 star course
Very confused by the 5 star rating this has. I've played far better courses than this one for various reasons. Layout is poor (including having to drive your car across the 2nd fairway just to get to the car park...that was nervy). Greens were poor in the height of summer. No one was there on arrival, pro shop was closed and couldn't get scorecards. Pace of play was so so poor but in fairness that's nothing to do with the course itself, just unlucky I suppose. £32 to play just didn't do this any justice. Fairfield for less money is a far better choice.
Very nice course
Well looked after golf course with some nice Quirky holes, tough par 3’s but a very good experience.
Great condition
Lovely course with the only negative aspect being the bridge from the 15th green to 16th tee which is closed and means a much longer walk and if busy I can imagine it would cause problems with people on the 17th.
Would still return though - great course
Brookdale gc
Course in great nick always loved this course if I lived more local I would consider being a member .Only criticism is £22 per round is expensive especially in these times where Joe average is struggling for money....do drop your prices please .
Brilliant Course
I have played this course a few times now and it just get better and better every time. The course was in Luverly condition and the greens were true. Will be back soon for sure.
Quality course, excellent condition
First time playing was a nice day and the course was in excellent condition it was a great experience and I will certainly be returning, very friendly staff and facilities.
Good course with friendly people
Started off by going into the club shop and the woman in there was one of the most friendly people I’ve met at a golf club. Once out on the course the people seem the same and all say hello. Good course, quite tricky in parts too. It probably lacks another par 5 but there are some tricky holes for sure. Would definitely recommend for the price you pay.
Best collection of par threes in Manchester!!
Played in March , course drained very well and passed muddy trouser test !
The par threes are brilliant test of your game and yardage control , as all are either up or down hill .
The final five holes make for great match play shoot out .
Course is a classic . Staff and members friendly . I was playing on own and kept being invited to play through .
Brookdale GC a credit to the spirit of golf in England . And the first club ever played with a lady head pro running the big show .
Good challenge
1st time playing here and had heard good things about it from friends. Although the weather has not been great the course was in pretty good condition and there are some great holes to be played. There were 3 winter greens but is normal for a lot of courses at this time of year, the only issue I had was on 15th the temp green was only about 150 yards in stead of 400 odd and as I hadn't played before wasn't sure if this was where I was playing too as it as so short of the hole. Other than that the course was great with some fantastic views. The staff were very helpful with information and also some of the clubs members were very curtious too as I played a few holes with one as I was on my own and he gave plenty of tips on where I needed to lay up tee shots etc.
Looking forward to go back and play again soon.
Some great holes!
Really enjoyed playing Brookdale. Really smart course! Loved holes 7 to 11. Great holes! 18 is a great finishing hole in match play. Thanks to the club!
Oveeplayed
Greens good lots
of unrepaired pitch marks though
Tees worn bare
Seems to be lack of ground staff
Stuck behind four ball
Don’t get why reviews so good
Not normally grumpy in my reviews??
