Great local alternative

I played today because my clay-based course was closed owing to previous heavy rain. Burlish drains very well and was generally in good condition. Only the 1st green was noticeably wet.
The course is undergoing an extensive improvement programme so only 12 holes are open but you still play a full 18 holes by replaying the front 9 but off different tees and the score card has a full 18 hole indexes.
Well worth a visit

12 hole course ideal for beginner golfer. My friend had never played on a course only been to the range hence why we played here. The changes to the layout are taking a very long time.

First Time Playing

Great time, great course and brilliant staff

Played here due to the course I was supposed to play was closed due to heavy rain and couldn't believe how dry and playable it was. The course is built on a sand base so drains brilliantly and when we played you wouldn't of known it had rained it was that dry. The course is very good condition wise and layout, I was informed that the course had been changed in order of play in the last few years and it has created an 18th hole which is the best hole on the course and one you must play. The greens were in excellent condition and still very fast for the time of year. Off course the staff couldn't do enough to help you enjoy your day. From the welcome in the very well stocked pro shop to the bar staff and members having a beer and sharing a joke with us in the bar they could not of made us feel anymore welcome. We had a brilliant day at Burlish Park golf club and will be going back very soon.
