Carlyon Bay Hotel Golf Course

The course is in a beautiful setting, mostly on the cliff top with great views over the bay. There many good holes but the 9th needed prior knowledge. The greens were a little damp from rain earlier in the week, but played well.
The staff were all most accommodating and helpful. The golf now deal was exceptional value. I would definitely play there again.

My first round since before Christmas and I couldn't have chosen a better place to start off with. Some great coastal and hillside views. Considering the recent bad weather the course was in great condition with just one temporary hole and one temporary green in use. Hopefully I can come back in warmer conditions nearer to the summer for another round

Would be better to play in good weather conditions, is hard in windy conditions .
Club house nice and food good.

I played this course for the first time with my cousin. We both thought that the course was in an incredible location and from afar, the course looked amazing.

With closer inspection however, we thought the tees probably needed a trim and some TLC as well as the grass on the greens really needed to be shorter. We felt the grass was far too long which made them very slow and hard to judge from each hole. Impossible to putt and probably could’ve saved 15 shots had the greens been well taken care of.

Saying this, we had a fantastic round and thoroughly enjoyed the look of the course and it has the potential to be a top 10 course in Cornwall.

Great course. The views are superb.. some fairways are close to each other. Greens a little on the slow side.

What a lovely introduction to links courses. As a kid I always imagined one day I would play this course, and it wasn't until my adulthood, I got to play it. I was not disappointed. We played on a brisk but sunny day. We were so lucky, what a stunningly picturesque course. The views are absolutely spectacular, and the perfect backdrop to our game. The course itself is well maintained, with wide fairways, decent layout, with a great scorecard with a map of the whole course, plus each hole layouts. We are both mid to high handicappers, and we both enjoyed it thoroughly. We are already looking forward to playing there again.

So I was popping down to Cornwall so looked up few places went with this one as it wasn't to expensive for the time of year
Course itself was OK
Greens slow
Condition was expected to be as it was after the rains and time of the year
Guy in shop was OK
Nice views it's not bad solid 7.8 👌

Could not play. Rained heavily. My rating based on previous experience. If you have not played it, highly recommended

Despite a stiff onshore breeze and occasional showers this course was a fun experience. With so many visitors in the summer months the pace of play will always be a problem - but the splendid views make up for this.

Straightforward course with amazing views. Was v quiet in a Sat afternoon. Great conditions. Small good shop well stocked with ladies clothing, including small sizes. 3 mins to other places of interests: Charlestown harbour, Eddie's restaurant, beach makes it a perfect day out.

Great course, would be good if my driver striking was better

Great experience playing this course, views are stunning and the course is set up for enjoyment.
