Castle Point Golf Course

Played today, greens were brown and extremely solid, especially the back 9 was really shocking. Some of the greens had literal craters in them and were covered in sand, where the pins had been moved the old holes were not filled correctly and putting was just all around awful. The fairways were some what cut, it was really inconsistent across the whole course.

But the worst thing in my opinion would have to be nearly getting hit by a range ball whilst trying to tee off on the 8th hole. The hole is at the back of the range and we had it a couple of times where balls would come through the netting and bounce on top of the tee box, extremely dangerous and needs to be fixed straight away.

Will not be playing here again.

Don’t waste your money at this golf course, greens on back 9 totally unplayable, completely brown and cracking up, semi rough is 4 inch’s deep. Grass cuttings everywhere, it’s like playing in a field.
£28 for a round here is terrible shouldn’t be charging money at all.

Originally booked for 6:24 tee off but nobody in clubhouse till 7 had to wait for a buggy. Really good layout, staff friendly and helpful. 2 greens on back 9 need attention but rest are fine. Proce seemed high for a local course at £20 for a buggy and £50 for a 2 ball. Would recommend just be prepared to lose balls if you hit the rough it's very thick!

Unplayable, tried to get a refund but no management on site,
I was told not our fault motorbikes had been onto the greens, but every green had cracks and splits all over them, one green had the cup higher that the putting surface absolute joke of a course,

Course is okay, couple of decent holes, some poor holes. But it’s not bad value for money. One bunker was absolutely overgrown with weeds - not good.

Straight away greeted by friendly And helpful staff! Lovely course if you can hit a ball straight! Back 9 holes abit more challenging but really good. First time playing here only thing I’d say it needs some signage showing you where the next tee is as not all of it is that obvious.

Really enjoyable round of golf after a hard day’s work exactly what was needed will definitely use the course again.

the course was far to busy which we spent alot of time waiting around for people in front to play on. the fair ways and greens were poorly maintained..i had to have a go at someone from the houses beside the course as they ran on and tried to steal my golf ball

20 quid for Saturday morning golf. Can’t go wrong for last minute. Public standard greens and fairways but what do you expect. Great value for money. Be careful of the lady walking her black Labrador. Thinks she owns the fairways.

Staff were very friendly. Course was in very poor condition. The tees were not labelled o you never knew where the next hold was. Some holes shared tees. The greens were all over the place. Some of the fairways were like driving into rough see how long the grass was. I was a lone golfer and was stuck behind an elderly ladies 4 ball that would not let me play through what would have taken me 2 hours to finish actually took me nearly 6 hours.
I won't be playing there again
