All ok. No discount for over 65s which is a shame.
Its ok to encourage new blood , but us oldies need to keep fit too.
Would definitely play again
Short course with no par 5. Greens and fair way in good condition. Worth the money.
Chesham and ley Hill
Very enjoyable round at this course. Greens had just been topped but were still good. Nice tight course that makes you think about your shots. Only a couple of holes driver friendly. Staff brilliant and everyone very friendly. Definitely recommend this course.
the greens had been scraped and punctured. they were miserable to play on. had I known this at the point of booking I would not have paid.
This is Brian, one of the three Trustees here at the Club. [We have texted each other quite often since the Course re-opened]
So, first, we're really very sorry that you had a poor experience this week, and we would very much like to compensate you for that unfortunate experience.
We know you have been playing the Course quite regularly since the end of last year, and we much appreciate your loyalty.
You have my number, Nic, and it would be kind if, at your convenience, you could please give me a call and I can then explain further and personally?
Again, please except our apologies for a most atypical course experience.
Course in pretty good condition apart from the greens as very sandy with work being carried out on then but everything else spot on
Nice setting average condition
This is a short course, fairly tight and not many opportunities to use a driver. Set in the woods, the greens are in average condition but for £12.50 it’s good value, only 9 holes and you play them twice for 12.50
- full of older four balls that took (not exaggerating) about 10 minutes per hole to tee off after their chat. This was going on in the group after us as well.
- no staff around, no scorecards available, no toilets open.
- advertised as an 18 hole but it isn’t. You do the same 9 holes twice.
- our tee off time was 11am so at 10:56 so we thought we might as well start because the group behind us we’re still at the tee off box. Some member (who was t even playing) came up to us and told us we have to wait 4 minutes until 11. So we did, and the group behind us were still at the tee off box - such pettiness.
Please save yourself the hassle and book any other course.
A hidden gem
Played a twilight round on this course and absolutely fell in love with the place - will definitely be back! Good course conditions, but the layout is very peculiar - take a map otherwise you will almost certainly be asking for directions from one hole to the next! A hidden little gem, lovely stuff.
Give this cracking, unspoilt gem of a coarse
Get your negative thoughts about it's only a nine holer. I certainly did after playing it recently. Some interesting, and testing holes. And the greens were in fantastic condition.. And the value at twenty pounds incredible. Well done Chesham and Leyhill.
I'll be returning very soon.
